So been a while since I was around this part of the internet, and I wanted to dig up this thread. For whatever reason, I figured the easiest way to find this thread would be to put into Google the one thing I remembered from this thread, "Sterling Korb," and it would take me right to this thread.
However, this thread is not the first result for Sterling Korb. Instead, a news article in which a Sterling Korb is mentioned as a party to a drug deal and a potential witness to a murder in South Dakota is the first result on google. (https://www.argusleader.com/story/ne...de/1951773001/)
Intrigued, I wanted to find out more about the real Sterling Korb and found his Facebook profile. Indeed there exists a real Sterling Korb, and he also appears to be the only Sterling Korb. Coincidentally, while he popped up on the radar screen as part of a drug deal in South Dakota, his Facebook account lists his original hometown as Arcata, California. Now, it's not Santa Rosa, but it's still Northern California.
In addition, his Facebook profile pictures are remarkably similar in style to the Facebook profile picture in the original message. Now it's not the same picture, but a guy sitting in a car with a menacing look on his face is in the same genre, and who knows what the passage of time could do to the visage of a South Dakota drug dealer?
Now, do I know if this means anything or is just a weird coincidence that a real Sterling Korb from Northern California who is involved in incredibly shady dealings actually exists? Absolutely not. But might it interest those of you who have posted in this thread for 525 pages and counting? Perhaps.
