Sometimes it makes me sad though, Babs being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren’t meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more gray and empty that they’re gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

Nope

If he'd been born poor at best he would have ended up as one of the kids in City of God. More likely he would have been snapped off permanently before his teen years.

Yeah I remember being surprised to find out he was only a year or two younger than me, and I turn 40 this year. Way too old to be such a colossal dumbass at any rate.
