So like an hour ago I pulled out of my driveway and might have bumped into someone. I'm not even sure if I backed into them or if they hit me. I was around 80% it was my fault but then she took off after surveying the damage.

Basically my question is, can she file any sort of claim now? I parked a few feet away and waited around five minutes then just left. It's probably around $100 in damage or so.

I was pulling out of my home so she would just have to go back and see my car. She took off pretty quick so I'm not even certain what she was driving. It looked like an Altima and the paint seems to match the green'ish metallic color.

I'm starting to think she might have been trying to drive through the gap and we're both equally at fault.

The funny thing is I would have handed her cash right there and then to avoid spending any time on this.

I once bumped someone while backing out of a parking spot while they were pulling forward out of a parking lot at the same time. I looked at him out the window and he said, "you look good" I looked at his car and said "you too" and we both nodded and left without having left our respective vehicles.

I had a car bump into the back of me at a stop light and I just waved and drove off. That's what bumpers are for.

I had an old lady back into me and it scratched the paint, but I told her I didnt care and to not worry about. She gave me a hug and said "bless you" like 50 times.

When I was maybe 17 I was stopped at a railroad crossing and had it in neutral (manual tranny) I was sitting there for like 5 minutes, but apparently it wasnt as flat as I thought because I slowly started rolling back, and I hit the car behind me. He got out and went to look at it, and I just kinda made a "well what does it look like?" shrug to him in the side mirror, he didnt say anything but got back in his car, the train went by at the same time and the arms lifted, so I just drove off and he followed me, so instead of going home I drive like 10 miles down some back roads before he finally turned around.

I know I should have gotten out, but I was panicked and super scared, lol. Im sure from his perspective, I just mean mugged him in the side mirror and DGAF. I still feel bad about that.

How much would insurance premiums come down if we only allowed claims that had an effect on the vehicle's roadworthiness and specifically excluded cosmetic damage to the bumper?

Sweet, neighbor's cam caught it. It's like 480p so the image isn't that great but she basically tried to squeeze in and lolwoman happened. It's not a big deal as it will buff right out but kinda pissed she took off now that I know it was her fault. I wouldn't have asked for any money but a sorry would have been nice.

I once backed into a car in a crowded school parking lot, but legitmately didn't realize it at the time. I felt the bump, but when I got out of the car to check, there was a big pot hole and I didn't see anything on the nearby car so I just assumed I had hit the pothole and went on my merry way.

Got called by the cops the next day and had to go down to the PD and explain what happened. Didn't get a ticket for a hit and run (thankfully) but got screwed out of repair money because the car I apparently bumped was an older foreign model and the replacement bumper was hard to come by. For a poor college student it was a royal PITA.
