i find myself questioning in the old thread where he's getting the money - he says payday loans, but several times before he said he couldnt get a line of credit. then he mentions an account he was "sharing" with someone on 5dimes or pinny or something.

What allowed his **** to stink for so long was people like Tyler and Howard always arguing the benefit of the doubt and arguing against people who were calling him out on his ****.

tyler seems like a later player for sure, he's barely posted at all but I'm only ~10% in this thing. I seriously cant believe how long this is. It seems like the blink of an eye to me now. and from what I can tell howard seems genuinely confused for most of the first ~5k posts about most of the things happening in the thread.

i still cant tell if he was trolling about the "belt loosening" and not understanding what it meant. I think in the beginning he didnt know but started to use his naivete for humorous purposes.

I will say LKJ was a black knight from like the first ~200 posts onward, lol.

there's a weird character called "GoodSteak" in the first few months of that thread that posts almost always after babs and almost always in crazy support of him, especially early on when the scamming discussion started and babs started licking his chops when stakes were being talked about. I don't think he's babs, it seems unlikely, but maybe one of the "friends" he split his account with.

also forchar's first several dozen posts itt seem like he knew what was up from the start. He was his old roommate, right?

Some initial griping about the job, some good advice, beast genuinely can't understand why he's not getting promoted despite yelling at his boss (not the woman he was infatuated with, the old boss) multiple times and being suspended for yelling at a client.

Gets his hands on 3k, from some mysterious source. He says its a payday loan, but after he goes busto around ~4500 posts in, absolutely 0 mention ever of paying it back, except for one time when he withdrew 1500 to "pay some of it back."

He was chasing like an insane person and had his roll on the table nearly every single day of the ~8 day hot streak he was on so the withdrawal felt weird.

Multiple times he describes as being "up" 1k despite losing 2k of the initial 3k. There are several posts where he lets it slip that he's "up" the amount of his bankroll, despite telling everyone that the initial ~3k was a loan he needs to pay back.

I don't know if it was a loan or not but I'm thinking no. IIRC not many people pushed him hard enough on this, but at the time, no one really cared or had any reason to.

Anyway he runs super hot for 8 days or so and runs the roll up to ~4k and loses every single penny to a combination of parlays, keno, and the brick and mortar indians. At one point before he was down to his last dollar and some miracle bailed him out.

5k posts in - he's broke, frantically trying to get more funds. He smells a mark in HIV and throws a few bait posts to get a stake. Lots of trying to get more money to put in play type of posts. "GoodSteak" seems to have turned on him by this point and from what I can tell completely disappears about a month later. His reg date is at a month or two before the start of this saga and I'd wager money him and a beast knew each other somehow but I can't prove it, it's just a suspicion.

Wiper links his 2p2 account to "ck7" on sbforum. Lots of hilarity there, especially the tony romo bet. Some mention of lady boys.

Lots, i mean LOTS of posts by babs making fun of El Diablo for a -4000 tennis pick. Seriously just search the thread for "-4000" and there are a lot of absolutely hilarious posts.

The initial inklings of the first hunchcap begin when El D throws out a challenge to babs. I think that's going to begin soon.

Around 3500-4k we get news of the saffron chicken truck idea and 99 posts some absolutely hilarious shops. Babs later lets us know that he has $770/7500 saved for a restaurant his dad would fund. "My dad could lose 100k and it would be nothing for him." I think that's where we got the idea his dad was really loaded.

In the first ~1k posts alobar very cleverly gets beast's real name by shipping him a free $20. I think that was the very first seed of the RL trainwrecking that would unfold later. I think alobar was the first to know it. (Not implying it's his fault at all, just noting that that's where the source of his name came from).

I was a much better poster back then than my memory served, I thought there'd be a lot of cringe but very few. I'm sure that's coming though.

I think the law has changed at some point since the original thread, but as of now, the maximum payday loan you can get in california is $300.

The highest pay day loan I could find online from a cursory search, from a legit company (not shady looking websites that i didnt even wanna click on) was $1500.

I find it highly unlikely and probably impossible that he got $3k from a check cashing type of place, especially since multiple times he stated his exact income as $2050 a month or something like that.

Combine that with the weird tells about being "up" the amount he borrowed and absolutely no indicators of ever paying it back, other than that weird withdrawal, the brief talk about "sharing" his 5dimes account with someone he never spoke about again, and I think I can safely conclude the money was grifted.
