I was a two-space guy until about 10 years ago, when it was brought to my attention that I was operating in the typewriter era. With some moderate annoyance I retrained myself.

I felt that way when I was first alerted to the new normal. I managed. You can too.

But it doesn't particularly matter on 2p2 since 2p2 actually corrects it back to one space upon posting.

I don't know much about backtesting betting systems but I know a lot about backtesting stock picking systems. I assume they're largely similar. There's absolutely 0.0% chance that a Babstest has any basis in reality. Just the starting point of getting data good enough to do a meaningful backtest would be so far above his head that it would appear as small as one of Saturn's moons (which are uninhabitable).

Of course we all know there's no Babstest at all. That thread was still a good read though.

I'm someone who had to make the transition to single space after the period as well, I learned to type on a typewriter (lololds).

And you don't know fun until you have to go through your entire dissertation to take out the double spacing because THAT'S finally when a professor pointed out I was doing it wrong. JFC I've been turning in papers for how long and no one pointed this out?

I still do it all the time but since I'm no longer typing educational **** I say **** it.
