I'll add my support to Wendy's spicy chicken. Just make sure to eat it right away, otherwise the lettuce gets a little soggy and weird.

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is one of the best FF items for sure. During college I would be able to get 2 meal trade-ins in the Campus Center and always go for the two Spicy Chicken sandwiches.

To those that don't eat Wendy's;

If you're a honey mustard fan their's is better than anything you can get in the store, I dip my fries in it and that's def not the norm for me

Yes I've had Beaver's Osis, that's what I use to make homemade Alice Springs Chicken

Well Jesus, guess I'll go to Wendys tomorrow. $7.80, so this spicy chicken is not a value menu item?

My all time favorite honey mustard is Red Robin's.

The only one I know of closed in the last several months. I'm a truck driver and I've never seen another in the 33 states that I've been to. I've pretty well convinced myself that I hallucinated it for the last 30 years.

Except that if you ate CFA on a college campus and said CFA sucks you'd be wrong, while if you ate White Castles from 7-11 and said that White Castle sucks, you'd be right. Krystal for life.

I'm not saying it was bad it was just not really different than something I could make at home, for those that don't cook I could really see the appeal tho

As a comparison - Taco Bell may be **** but its taste is still something hard for me to emulate
Am I being trolled?

+1 to the Wendy's spicy chicken love. And just had White Castle for the first time, MAJOR letdown. Would rather eat a McDonald's cheeseburger. In & Out & 5 Guys are still the best imo...

Think I explained it pretty well there GD

Where's the confusion?

To clarify further, CFA isn't in my area but I discovered one about 20 miles out. When I went the bar was set pretty high due to things like this thread. For example - your post, if that was directed at someone else and I had still yet to go that would be further pumping them up.

So when I went and got a taste that I've had the equivalent to at home many times over ... I was disappoint. I don't know what else to tell you. It sure was a chicken sandwich tho, I'll give you that.

I was disappointed at Krispy Kreme and In N Out for the same reason, not that I could make it at home but it felt like the Emperor's New Clothes ... this is what everyone's been clamoring about?

I'm sure for some people it's legit amazing but for others I think it's the power of suggestion and a herd mentality. It's no different from a gf saying the place down the street makes amazing frozen yogurt. Yep, it sure is frozen yogurt.

White Castle Chicken Ring and Cheese sandwiches are my go to. I feel like their burgers are hit or miss for people. Try the chicken ring and cheese sandwiches, I have never had a person say they did not like them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels let down by CFA. I mean, it's good, but there's no way it was gonna live up to the hype so many people give it. I won't turn it down, but I'm not going out of my way to find one.

I'm a huge CFA apologist, but even I must admit that the Wendy's spicy is quite good. It's a coinflip for me (I know, nice cop out.)

So this is like a $5 specialty sandwich we're talking about at Wendys, and its simply called the spicy chicken?

Yes, don't worry about saying the magic phrase. It'll be obvious what you're ordering.

And does this look like a budget sandwich to you?

Like I said, mine I order plain. Usually add cheese. And ALWAYS honey mustard, I don't give a damn if you want to charge for the second or third cup.

When I went to CFA I honestly envisioned a taste like this bad boy

Best thing BK's ever sold. They had a great spicy one too.

Such an elite commercial.

Next time I go to Wendy's I might buy two spicy chicken sandwiches, one to eat and one to have sex with.

To answer your question, yeah it does kind of look like a budget sandwich. I will definitely get one tomorrow, and see what the hype is all about. Doubting its better than 3 Carl's spicies at $1.19.

Wait, there are people reading this thread who have not only not had a Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich but are not really familiar with it? Wow. I've been eating them for over 20 years. That just seems insane. I pretty much consider it their flagship food item.
