I vote that Arby's IS known for its Arby's Melts aka. Roast Beef. And those should NOT be considered cold cuts.

And if you don't like Arby's Melts, wtf are you going to Arby's for? Those + Potato Cakes = heaven

IMO, the best burger at Carl's Jr is the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Just delicious.

Cold cuts also may be known as lunch meats, luncheon meats, sandwich meats, cooked meats, sliced meats, cold meats and deli meats. In Commonwealth countries and the U.K.
They use a steam table to heat the product.

While that might be technically correct- if you ask anybody with any experience at Arby's to describe their classic sandwich, they are never ever ever using the term cold cuts.

I'm an idiot, everyone likes different things, don't know why I'm going on about that place.

To be fair- beyond your initial cold cut issue- your assessment of the place isn't really that wrong. They do one basic thing in a fashion that's kinda gross but appealing to people like me who have an affinity for gross.

also i want to be clear I'm defending maso's use of cold cut only, not his dislike of arby's

I've never had a Big Mac either. I've probably only had like 5 fast food burgers in my life, 20 burgers total. Didn't eat red meat until I was 18. The only time I really eat red meat now is good burgers, steak, or as a topping (pepperoni on pizza, bacon on sandwich, etc.)

A big mac is a double cheeseburger that some ******* decided to throw a ****** salad from the 80s inside of. Do not want. Double QP w/cheese is the preferred McDonald's glutton burger for me.

BTW... I once accidentally ordered a Big Mac with extra cheese. It improved the taste by 100%.

The Carl's Jr. Big Carl + onions is a fairly good meaty version of a Big Mac.

What was in the bag? Original chicken sandwich meal with bacon and an extra side of 10 pc chicken fries.
Can someone please weigh in and tell me how much of a loser I was to do this?

The reason to go to Arby's is for the Arby's and Horsey sauce, LDO.

I get a hankering for a big mac once in a while. When it hits I have a salad with thousand island, then eat a double qpc dipped in sweet and sour sauce

Seriously, I love those types of places as well, but there's nothing about eating a two-pound burrito that's healthy.
if you skip the flour tortilla and the cheese (100c/7G fat) and make it like this:

Black Beans,Barbacoa (4oz),Tomato Salsa,Corn Salsa,Red Tomatillo Salsa & Lettuce

it clocks in at 435 calories with 11 grams of fat and is damn good (had one yesterday). Flour tortillas don't do anything for me and dont have much flavor, this alone is 290 calories and 9 grams of fat, pretty high cost in calories for so little flavor IMO

On the scale of douchebaggery, I don't think this is very high up on the list. I mean, I've done the same thing. I once got a meal to go from Culvers, and they had it in an awfully big bag. I just took it, and at the bottom was this crazy huge box of cheesecurds. Good thing I was going over to hang out with some friends and they were all hungry.

I guess the thing that would tip it for me, is if you check the bag after you get it, and you realize you got too much food, can they still use what you give back to them? I think sometimes no, and maybe they even started making something new once they realized they just gave you an extra something. So now it doesn't matter. I'm not a fast food employee though. But IMO, eat the bonus and be happy.

Has anyone heard of Farm Basket? I remember it as a kid growing up in Vegas, but have never seen it elsewhere. I just Googled it and it seems like now it's only a Vegas thing, and down to one location! But I don't know if maybe there were more outside of Vegas at one time. The place is shaped like a big barn and according to their website, they were the first place to ever do drive thru service, back in '73. They have Southern fare, mostly fried chicken sandwiches. But their claim to fame is their Great Gobbler - a fried turkey breast on a big roll with mayo, cranberry sauce, and lettuce. Man, I gotta hit that **** up next time I'm in Vegas.

Would this be a good thread to talk about food trucks? I know they're big here in L.A. and not so much other places (yet), but they're definitely worthy of their own thread. So many awesome trucks, and the food is definitely better quality than fast food, and is usually very reasonably priced.

Sad story: Had just gotten back from a week long cruise with the fam last December and we had the day to spend in Miami before flying home. The fam was looking for a place to grab lunch but I couldn't eat a damn thing because I'd stuffed myself silly during the cruise and didn't even want to think about food. And of course we passed by a Five Guys, and all I could think about was the epic thread debating FG vs In N Out and how much I'd longed to try it and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Still haven't had the glory that is Five Guys.
I love food trucks, just got back from Austin and theyre everywhere, lots of variety and tasty vittles

I'm trying to open one in Dallas but this city sux for doing anything outside the box so they're stymied right now here
