What do you order?

Hint: Qtrpounder/wcheese, large fries, hot dog + vanilla shake is the right answer.

I remember Farm Basket (and the Great Cobbler). There was one on Desert Inn close to Pecos. It was like a Long John Silver's type of thing when I was a kid (once a month.. maybe).

Did anyone ever eat at the 300 Deli? All of their sandwiches were on the menu in every combination you could think of (or 300 at least). You would tell the guy what you wanted and he would say "Oh #244 - The roasted turkey and ham with swiss cheese, no mayo (or w/e it was). Pretty impressive when I was younger. I heard the owner lost his business because he lost all of his money playing video poker (not sure if true - that's a typical Vegas rumor).

When I get fast food, it's typically Burger King now because there's one next to my kids' pre-school. Two buck doubles (no mustard), medium fries, medium soda FTW. As for that Jalapeno-Cheddar steakhouse whatever there...I tried it once and was underwhelmed.

McD's - like many, McDoubles are the standard order. I've had the Angus burgers a couple times, though, and they are surprisingly good. Ingredients taste fresher. Too salty, but good.

Chick-Fil-A - ldo. Also, the chicken, egg, and cheese on a bagel with a side of tots is the GOAT fast food breakfast.

Zaxby's - for a chicken change of pace and Texas toast.

And of course, in Atlanta if you want a hot dog and fries, it's The Varsity.

Not all of us have to use alcohol as an excuse to binge eat, we can just do it anyways. Because it's awesome.

Hard to explain why they are so good, but think of an extra large McDonalds Cheeseburger with the best fries you will ever have. Diced Onion, 2 slices of cheese, ketchup pickles and a patty, the picture makes it look like ****, but believe me, I've never had a better burger.

Cheap as hell too, the prices have barely changed in the last 20 years.
Heh, I live literally 5 minutes away from All American, I worked down the road from AA, and have ate there TONS of times. I came in here yesterday to post about it, but then figured it wasn't worth it, the population of people who could even go here is so small that post on 2p2.

Seriously, the greatest fast food place I've ever had. Prices are so low, and you can get such awesome food.

If you go during the summer, expect at least a half hour wait to order, even more if you go during lunch/dinner time. It's unbelivable how packed they can get. I actually met someone there one time who was originally from Seaford ( town right next to it) who lives in Texas now, but when they visit family they get AA like 3 times.

Little known fact, but there is an ice cream shop literally right next door called Marshalls, that is owned by the same family as All American. Absolutely amazing ice cream, and their milkshakes are even better then All American shakes.

Last edited by Debo9; 03-08-2011 at 04:21 PM. Reason: lol at ordering vanilla milkshake and thinking it's the right one to order

Debo: Marshalls used to be a Carvel when I was growing up. Haven't been to this version though, I'll try it next time I'm in the old hood.

Edit: Don't question my fast food palate.

Zaxby's, Raisin' Canes, et al are just like Church's for people who are scared of blacks.

I'm all for sober binge eating, but agree that a garbage plate + lots of time in a car is not the haps. I want to take that post meal **** in a hobo/Larry Craig free environment.

they serve burgers at the one near me in the bay area

imo they would seem to be known for hot cuts or slightly warm cuts and not cold cuts. You are a ****** if you think cold cuts is a reasonable way to describe the arby's roast beef sandwich.

The only things worth eating at arby's:
arby's sauce
horsey sauce
honey mustard
Chicken bacon swiss
Chicken cordon bleu
Curly fries

Most places that serve them round here will sub baked beans for the mac salad if you want, or just go 100% home fries. Adding ketchup and mustard is standard.

Referring to a hot sliced roast beef sandwich as "famous for cold cuts" is not reasonable to me.

Strong agree. Maso's post might be the dumbest thing I've read in like 5 days and I've read all of my own posts.

Arby's = Arby's melt or GTFO imo. Anything else probably is better elsewhere.

[Talking about Wendy's]. They're good fresh, horrible not-fresh. Problem is, they get not-fresh really quickly.

The Angus mushroom burger at least is really, really good for fast food. Doesn't taste like a McDonald's burger at all.

Love Moe's, it's much better than Chipotle IMO. Unfortunately there aren't many in the NW, and the only franchise in PDX (which was conveniently on my way home from work) went out of business.
