Got the Burger King Chicken King for lunch today. It was ok 6.5/10. The first one was bettet than the second. Still like their Original Chicken Sandwhich a lot more.

I ordered them with no onion and no pickle. Which got me thinking......You should always order your fast food sandwhiches with some altercation to ensure they are made fresh. Thoughts?

Buy conflict free IMO.

isn't pretty much everything made to order these days? I can't recall being in a FF place in the last few years where they just had a bunch of pre-made sandwiches sitting under a warmer.

McDonalds is one tiny step away from the sandwich under the warmer...

Granted it's been about 15 years but when I worked at BK in high school during peak hours there was a list of things to keep up because they got ordered so much. Like you were supposed to always have 2 or 3 cheeseburgers ready to go. They had a way of marking it on the wrappers so you knew if one got too old.

Here's an example (not sure if they still look like this or if they even use that system any more):

I finally tried the smokehouse brisket. Its a pretty damn good fast food sandwich. Try it with some horsey sauce, or maybe mayo.

the commercial makes it seem mighty tempting. Might be on my weekend to try list this weekend

Paying $5.00 for $2.00 worth of chicken sandwiches seems like a pretty severe fast food leak to me. What am I missing?

Chicken Big King is 2 for 5 not 5.

Whoops. Okay, so it's only an extra buck for the Big Mac sauce. That's way more reasonable.

Sorry for the confusion. I lost most of my fingers in shop class in high school so counting beyond 3 is kinda hard.

Had another Sausage Crunchwrap from TB today and it had little sausage pellets on it instead of a sausage patty. I could have sworn it came with a sausage patty instead...can anyone else confirm? Maybe I'm crazy but I didn't enjoy it today near as much.

That's what I thought. Would be interested to know if the change is just my local TB or if this is a chain-wide food cost savings decision.

And by sausage pellets, I mean they looked like rat turds. I'd rank the McD sausage pellets in their breakfast burrito higher in taste and appearance.

again confirming patty. I would def complain if they gave me sausage bits. They were probably just out of patties and subbed in the bits from the grilled breakfast taco. Which is also a reason to pass on the taco.

Have now had the sausage AM crunchwrap 3 times and really feel it's a top 5 breakfast entree. Two of the three have been mindblowingly good for FF breakfast - hot, fresh, perfectly prepared. The third was merely really good.

Cinnabon bites are fine but might be the WOAT FF value - they're donut holes. 2 for $1.00? LOL.

interesting coincidence, but i came here to report on my breakfast this morning. i've probably averaged one am crunchwrap w/sausage a week for the past three or four weeks, and almost all from a different location...
....i'm sold. they have been consistent in regards to quality and amount of contents (warm, crunchy hashbrowns, fluffy eggs, good tortilla, etc...fire sauce ldo). i had one this morning and the sausage was in the shape of a patty and not a rat turd. ymmv.

if they were $2 and not $2.50 in OR i would likely have them much more than i do (oh, that and the fact there isn't a TB on my direct route from home to work in the morning).

*edit to say that because McD's opens at 5am or so they get a lion's share of my FF breakfast business. all of the TBs in this area don't open until 7am or so, and i'm long gone by then.

speaking of that, McD's is fighting back against TB with a 2 for ~$3ish egg mcmuffin deal right now.

Still haven't had taco bell breakfast yet. Went to the one by my house which was labeled online as having breakfast.. It had signs and graphics showing breakfasts items on the window saying open seven or earlier. Got there at 830am on Saturday and all lights were off and parking lot empty

McD's has been doing a different 2 for $3 breakfast sandwich for about 9 months now. They seem to switch it up either monthly or every two weeks.

I think TB would really benefit from switching to an open at 5 philosophy. There are so many cars on the road on my 6-7 AM commute, that I cant imagine they are missing a ton of "before I get on the road" breakfasters

I worked at a local pizza chain one summer as a delivery driver while in college. No one ever used the term "pep za." It kind of pisses me off for some reason. As a random aside, and I think I've mentioned it here, it's amazing how quickly us idiot delivery drivers would memorize addresses of people who did not tip. Even if you consistently drop like $2 you will get your pizza much faster.

Tried the Big King burger today. Pretty horrible imitation of the Big Mac imo.

Bun was stale, instead of the Big Mac chopped onions it had giant sized slabs of white onion, and the cheese was totally unmelted. Even the burgers have a weird bland not-quite-beef taste to them, but that is common to all BK burgers including the whopper.

Never sure how much has to do with my local franchise being really terrible, or BK overall just being so bad.

You run bad with whoppers. They're awesome.

Burger king needs to stop trying to sell big macs and focus on whoppers.

Also, every place (including mcdonalds) should copy the mcdonalds egg mcmuffin instead of givign you folded up yellow nonsense.
