The Five Guys at LaGuardia also serves breakfast. Last time I was there I got bacon egg and cheese with grilled onions, jalapeños, hot sauce. It was so good it almost made up for the fact that it's the worst ****ing airport in america.

Did the BOGO Whopper thing for lunch today. It's still an OK sandwich but nothing I'll go out of my way for.

Also tried the new fries. Meh. Not a noticeable improvement.

I liked BK fries as they were, they may be slightly inferior to McDs when right out of the fryer but that is more than offset by the significantly longer half-life.

The last couple Whoppers I've had were totally atrocious. The meat was so bland and tastless; they were so bad I couldn't even convince myself to go rep the buy one get one free deal yesterday

(another episode of 'kkc moved down south and is living in a hotel room so he eats a ton of fast food')

i went to mcdonalds today and got a large coffee (double cream, no sugar) and a sausage biscuit

after i paid my $2.34 (what a ****ing steal) and pulled up to the second window, the attendant asked me if i wanted jelly for my biscuit. i'm pretty sure i made a silly face at him as i said 'uhhhhhh no?' because i had never even heard of jelly on a sausage biscuit before, much less have it offered to me by default in a drive thru

is this standard in the south? what percentage of people in the south put jelly on a sausage biscuit? how about nationwide?

I saw someone do that once

I was like wtf are you doing. Then I tried it on mine and it was pretty good. I prefer it without though.

Has anyone ever been asked what kind of jelly they want with their sausage biscuit? I get asked every time. Who the **** does this? Is this a black thing?

Also I have never had Popeye's crawfish before so I will be hitting that.
ha i thought this was posted in here

knivesout, you're in chicago, right? reaffirms my suspicions that 0% of midwesterners do the jelly on a biscuit thing

Yeah idk, in the midwest I think it's a black people thing (not that there's anything wrong with that), never heard it once living in WI where they don't really have black people. I've noticed that black people say yes to the jelly most of the time whereas I've never seen any other ethnicity accept it.

My research has also shown that at Wendy's, whose staff is black, they ask you if you want it 100% of the time you order a sausage biscuit, and at McDs, where the staff is mostly hispanic, they never ask and I always see black people specifically requesting it.

I'm guessing since black people love southern style cuisine stereotypically, it makes sense for it to be prevalent in the south as well.

And who knows, maybe it's delicious and we are all missing out. I think I'm going to try it this week and post results.

Incorrect. It's at least 20% salt.

<3 McDonald's breakfast. Wish I knew why the staff is like 50% less likely to screw up breakfast than lunch/dinner items.

McDonald's has inferior biscuits though.

Whataburger and even Burger King have superior biscuits, and those are just 2 I know.

so i went to biloxi for the first time tonight, and there's a whataburger on the way!!!! (never seen one before in my life)

stopped there after losing my ass in craps at the IP (which sadly does not have the same charm as the vegas location :-/) i ordered a double meat whataburger with cheese

when the drive thru babe told me $5.66 for one double cheeseburger i was preparing myself for disappointment, but once i got home and gave it a spin i was impressed, that is one tasty burger

too expensive and out of the way to make the regular rotation, but will definitely eat again

theres no point in going to BK if you're getting anything other than a whopper or specialty whopper imo. what restaurant is comparable most to whataburger??

That's kind of how I feel about Wendys. My father who eats only meat and bun when he eats a burger pointed out just how poor quality the Wendys patty is. The squareness is alright I guess.... Other than that the patty itself is dry and thin imo. Plus Wendys seems to be more expensive? Love the frosty though.
