Skinny weaklings itt.

2 Sausage Egg McMuffins + 2 Hash Browns would be no problem for breakfast @ 7:30, with regular lunch @ 12:30.

Sadly, my wife and doctor are forcing me to try to become a skinny weakling, so I will not be able to prove my assertion. FML, south beach diet.

i don't think anyone would ever classify me as a skinny weakling. and like i said, i can eat a lot of food. the other night i put down 2 lbs. of boneless chicken wings in a sitting.

i was just saying for some reason eating a mcmuffin makes me feel awful IMMEDIATELY after. the day after i switched to biscuit (which is far superior obv) and same story, after eating one i was like YUP, DONE. it's so doughy and buttery!

mia,

you get 3 sausage biscuits for $3? holy ****.

McDonalds breakfast is awesome, but it runs through my bowels like a strong laxitive. If I eat a couple McMuffins/Burritos or McGriddles, I start cramping up within 30 mins

Ditto, although it's not always the case. But it happened enough times that I had to rethink my Saturday AM schedule, which had me polishing off 1 or 2 Breakfast Sandwiches toward the beginning of my errands - too many close calls.

[CSB]Back in my final year of minor baseball days, we had a Saturday/Sunday tournament our team was hosting in our home town. Well, we knew a lot of the guys on the other teams through hockey, so one of my buddies had a ton of people over at his house for a party.

The next day we played at like 8:30 or something in the morning, and I had only gone to bed at about 6. I got up at 7 still hammered and my buddy picked me up and we went to McD's for breakfast before our first game. Pretty much our entire team was there, with about 3 quarters of us pretty hungover/still drunk. We polished off about 4 sausage or bacon and egg McMuffins each, and went out for warmups and to play our game.

The third inning rolls along, and a lot of us were in a lot of discomfort. We had to convince our coach to let the ump call an extended time out, and we pretty much had a nice big team ****, and people were not looking forward to being at the back of that bathroom line. Also, parents were none-too-pleased with all of us. Learned our lesson for sure.[/CSB]

I had a layover in Houston, and it delivered nicely with a Popeyes and Subway next to each other. San Francisco on the other hand was terrible - just a BK. Granted I was only in one particular terminal, but it didn't look promising.

I know that Atlanta has Chick-Fil-A because my wife's company had a gathering there and apparently all the corporate bigwigs could talk about was making sure to hit Chick-Fil-A coming and going.

Any airports that rise well above or fall well below expectations?
Get the Gate Guru app for your phone. That will bring up a list of what restaurants are in your terminal when you land. Super handy, esp. for identifying which are good places that aren't national chains.

Looking up SFO, though, it is pretty light on fast food. It's got a ton of sit down Japanese, Mexican, and brewpub places, but pretty much just BK, Burger Joint, and Subway for fast food.

tips? you said you're going to try it tonight, right? ok, i recommend firmly grasping a piece between your thumb and forefinger, slowly raising it toward your open mouth, and taking a bite. chew rigorously, swallow, and repeat.

Yes, tips. Like what should i get it stuffed with? pepperoni, sausage, peppers, whatever options they have. But yeah, thanks for being a prick.

edit....the "official" options are stuffed with:

-extra cheese and cheese only.

-bacon and jalapeno

-spinach and feta

anyone tried any? with the exception of daryn...

The ads on TV are pretty lame. Dominos apparently had such a great response when they "admitted" their pizza used to be lousy, which led them to change their crust, sauce and cheese. So they're trying to do the same here, although it's just frikin cheesy bread, so it doesn't really make as much sense to be all "our cheesy bread was bad" and just ends up coming across strange.

But if it really does have as much cheese as a medium pizza (that's what they say in the ads) then I'm wondering if it's gone too far to the other end of the spectrum - from too little cheese to too much, turning it into a soft, gooey mess that worse. The idea of multiple flavors does seem good though.

Given San Francisco's negative attitude toward fast food in general (http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/201...o-take-effect/) it's not too surprising that the airport has a pretty meager list of good places.
