I don't believe I've ever had a chicken sandwich with cheese, but I have an open mind.

I'm intrigued by the Jack in the Box egg rolls. I used to get their tacos back when they had a 3-for-$1 special every Sunday. Weird wacky stuff.

If you like ranch on your Chik-Fil-A sandwiches ask for the ranch they serve with their salads it is 100 times better than the ranch in those warm packets.

Gotta say I'm in the no-cheese-with-chicken camp.

I mean grilled chicken with swiss or mozzarella or something, sure. But putting a slice of american on a breaded chicken sandwich doesn't sound good at all.

don't get me wrong, they were good, but they were maybe 2/3rds the size of carl jr's or checkers strips.

i'll go again and just get the box meal next time (same as above but 2 fewer strips and one less cane's sauce for 3 less bucks which makes me feel ripped off now that i think about it)
this doesnt sound like very good value

I worked in food service in college () and two of our busiest days where when we served either breaded or unbreaded chicken cutlets for sandwiches.

People would grab like four chicken patties and four buns then go to the pasta bar and add sauce before heading to the cold cuts bar for cheese (and American was pretty much all we had about 1/2 the time). It was horrible those days, the line would be like 20 minutes just to grab food and if you were working you never stopped running for like three hours straight.

If it's melted American cheese on breaded chicken it can be pretty fabulous.

Surprised to hear this, I've only been to Cane's once, but got the Box which I thought was plenty of food, and I'm a pretty big eater. I remember the fingers being pretty decently sized, maybe you ran bad or I ran good (or they've changed them; the time I went was like 2 years ago).

Googled Raising Cane's (don't have them in NY) looks delicious. Will stop by next time I am traveling.

kkcountry,

According to the website, the Caniac also has extra fries and a larger drink in addition to what you listed, so that adds a little value (though not much)

For over 10 dollars you can do much better than raising cane's, that is awful value

For example, you can get a 12 inch steak escape cheesesteak combo that is unreal good

i think i did run bad in the strip department based on glances i took at other people's plates

also, there's a popeye's here, what's the pro move there for dinner?

(i'm living in the south for the first time in my life if it wasn't obvious)

I've run awful at Chick-fil-a lately. 2 of my last 3 spicy chicken sandwiches were either way too fried and rock hard .

Tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders at Hardee's the other day and not bad IMO. $7 for 3 tenders and fries + drinks is lol weaksauce though.

I'm a yankee and we do not have anywhere close to the fast food selection that other areas of the country like the south have. There are no jack in the boxes, checkers, arbys, popeyes, whatta burgers, etc. A Sonic was put up a couple of years ago and that was a huge deal. For the first couple of days we had to wait in line for an hour + to even order. What's even more annoying is they show the commercials for these illusive restaurants up here in the north!

Popeye's chicken itself isn't very good, but their crawfish and different seasonal shrimp are delicious.

It would be nice to get something new from Chick-Fil-A every 3-4 months. I enjoy what I usually get (Spicy Chicken Deluxe w/ Pepper Jack, Southwest Salad, Strips) but it does get boring.

Chickfila could donate to pro-rape and pro-genocide charities and I'm pretty sure I'd still go there.

I'm a Vegas native and I'm sure that we have a decent fast food per capita rating. Within 5 minutes of my house I have (in order of closeness):

Jack in the Box (2 blocks) , El Pollo Loco, McDonalds, Panda Express, Carl's Jr, Wendys, Taco Bell, Burger King, Del Taco, In n Out, Sonic and Arbys (2 miles away).

The above is most likely true in at least 20 other parts of town.

Vegas leads in Jack in the Boxes, IHOP's and Denny's locations. Oh yeah, there's a Denny's across from In n Out.

Popeye's:
Spicy strips & the honey mustard + mashed potatoes and cajun gravy imo.

I live in NJ and there are definitely Arbys, Popeyes, Checkers, and (more recently) Sonic.

No JITB though.
