The only two Steak n Shake's here got shutdown, lol. I guess word is the owners were charging higher than the SnS standard, so SnS shut them down. One was literally like a quarter mile from my place.

Weck. It'll always be b-dub's to me. Twenty years ago it was this cool little place to get cheap wings and beer. Now it's McSportsBar.

C'mon man. You got Bills, Giants, Cards, Vikes, Rams, Bucs up next. Mexican Chilly is going 3-3 on that at worst. Might only win 2 games after that, tho.

Dubs is generally pretty good on grub and great on sports viewing. Solid sauce lineup. The draft beer selection isn't hateful, decent variety.

Portland folk,

Thanks a ton for the recs, very much appreciated. Posted in the LC thread in case any of you have any additional thoughts (rather than derailing this one again).

Apparently I did get a bit of misinformation in this thread, and word on the street is that Walla Walla Onion Rings go off the menu around Labor Day.

Still listed on here, though, so might try and swing by and check anyway - I love onion rings: http://www.burgerville.com/our-food/...-limited-time/

Speaking of onion rings, have best FF onion rings been discussed ITT?

A&W Onion Rings are the best available in my part of Canada, if that has any relevance, which it probably doesn't.

Burger King's onion rings might not be the best, but damn I love their onion ring sauce.

Zesty sauce at BK might be it's only redeeming quality.

Buffalo is optimal with McDs wings.

Thx. Also, Whole Foods makes some good sandwiches, better than any of my local sandwich shops, and much better than the chains. Their pizza is hit or miss though.

Had mighty wings today, 5 piece. Big, very meaty, little spicy. Pretty damn good.

just tried the mighty wings from mcdonalds....not exactly the best value at all, but surprisingly tasty and wings are huge as another poster noted. probably will stick to dollar menu next time though

Yes, they are also good by themselves, but who doesn't dip wings? Like many fast food items, it makes them even better.
