Culver's Cheddar Butterburgers are phenomenal. The grease drips off them as you eat.

I agree with an earlier poster that Five Guy's burgers are great but the fries are meh.

At Chipotle I always get a burrito bowl with double meat and then have them give me some soft taco shells on the side (they will give them to you for free.)

Agreed that Hardee's is awesome, but alas they all went out of business in SE Minnesota.

Had Arby's today for the first time in ages. Tried their new Angus Three Cheese and Bacon sandwich. It was good, I'd eat it again, but not something I'm wowwing about. I imagine the $5 pricetag will turn a lot of people off to it.

The thick-cut applewood smoked bacon on the baconator (and the amount of it) still makes it the pinnacle of fast-food sandwiches. Triple please!

To the guy complaining it had no vegetables.. LOL

If you like chicken fingers, go to hardees/carl's jr and get the new chicken fingers there. They are amazing. The bbq sauce sucks though. I'll never get chicken fingers at another place again.

As for qdoba, my best order suggestion is the bbq pork with queso and hot sauce. The combination works really well.

Don't think it's been mentioned yet, but the deli trio grilled sandwich at Jack in the Box is da bomb. Stay away from their other one, the turkey bacon. It's horrific.

Has anyone heard of Farm Basket? I remember it as a kid growing up in Vegas, but have never seen it elsewhere. I just Googled it and it seems like now it's only a Vegas thing, and down to one location! But I don't know if maybe there were more outside of Vegas at one time. The place is shaped like a big barn and according to their website, they were the first place to ever do drive thru service, back in '73. They have Southern fare, mostly fried chicken sandwiches. But their claim to fame is their Great Gobbler - a fried turkey breast on a big roll with mayo, cranberry sauce, and lettuce. Man, I gotta hit that **** up next time I'm in Vegas.

Would this be a good thread to talk about food trucks? I know they're big here in L.A. and not so much other places (yet), but they're definitely worthy of their own thread. So many awesome trucks, and the food is definitely better quality than fast food, and is usually very reasonably priced.

Sad story: Had just gotten back from a week long cruise with the fam last December and we had the day to spend in Miami before flying home. The fam was looking for a place to grab lunch but I couldn't eat a damn thing because I'd stuffed myself silly during the cruise and didn't even want to think about food. And of course we passed by a Five Guys, and all I could think about was the epic thread debating FG vs In N Out and how much I'd longed to try it and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Still haven't had the glory that is Five Guys.

I kept hearing good things about 5 guys, and so my I brought my gf along with me to check it out...

Very mediocre and overpriced burgers, we both have different tastes in burgers and neither of us liked it much. I'm guessing we could have had a bad experience, but ehhh

Fries were pretty good though.

I'm not a foodie so I don't want my food transformed into foam or my side to be pink quail eggs. You are confusing simple with low quality.

So I guess you like your beef to be prepared with sand (well, actually silicon dioxide, which is the main chemical compound of sand), as they do at Taco Bell.

You ever eat any fast food Henry? At some point in your life, I imagine you must have wondered what a Big Mac tastes like?

Moe's is phenomenal. I need to go there more often. Hm. I do not think A&W has been mentioned yet. I like their burgers, their fries are okay, and I love getting me a huge cold frosty glass mug of root beer. Also, chicken strip basket at DQ, one of the best deals ever. 4 strips of chicken, gravy dipping sauce, fries, and two pieces of Texas toast, $3.99 deal sometimes.

For massive amounts of food for cheap, I think its impossible to beat Taco Bell. Although there is a McDonald's around here that offers 20 Mcnuggets for $2.99 on Monday nights from 4-8 or somesuch.

And in defense of Arby's, I like their French dip sandwich.

Great thread, keep up the good work!

Nothing like surrounding a gym with a Qdoba, Kelly's Roast Beef, Regina's Pizza, Margaritas, Cold Stone, etc. and now a Five Guys. Add in the fact that that plaza has a Starbucks, pharmacy, dry cleaner, etc. and I think you could go a year or two without ever leaving it.

Probably worth mentioning that I've never had a Big Mac in my life. When I was a kid I always hated fast food hamburgers for some reason (probably because I assumed they all tasted like the horrid little ketchup-drenched abomination that comes in a Happy Meal) and would always get nuggets or chicken sandwiches at McD's, BK, etc. Discovering Hardees' good burgers a few years ago made me see the light and I'm willing to try more stuff now, but there are still a bunch of super common fast food items I've never had.

Moe is probably one of the grossest things I've ever consumed.

Culvers is ridiculous good and I'm glad it's far enough away for mento never make a trip there

I have never had a Big Mac but I have been to McDs. I eat fast food not because it is good but because it is fast and convenient. The amount of fast food I consume is directly correlated to how busy I am. Last year I ate way too much of it -- before that I went years without eating any. What I won't eat voluntarily is sit-down chain restaurant food.
