It's a sad day, Wendy's just jacked up their prices. I pull up to the drive through, 4.50 in hand for my usual order of two double stacks and a small chili, and I get charged 5.80 instead. Jacked the double stack price up from 1.29 to 1.89. Sorry Wendy's, your burgers are good, but they aren't 90% better than the McDouble for a buck, our love affair is over.

Yeah Wendy's is just flat out expensive. I don't eat a lot of fast food, but McD's double cheese no ketchup, no mustard, add mac sauce is my go to indulgence these days. Only suckers who don't know you can add mac sauce to anything order big macs.

I'm sorry Americans, the fries at Schnitz are better than any fast food fries I had back home. It will be easy to not have the crappy fries when I get home. Assuming I don't eat myself out of getting on the plane.

My McDonalds charges 50 cents extra for nonstandard stuff like that. Sigh.

It's actually posted on a sign underneath the menu.

No actually mine doesn't. I do this at several McDs around Atlanta. Two double cheese with mac sauce plus tax is $2.76 for me.

whew, a voice of reason, had Wendy's for the first time in 6 years last week just to try this burger and was shocked how good it was, also new wendys fries are dynamite.

They're hit or miss, just like every other fries ever. It's just absurd how high variance fries are. I had an order of McDonald's fries a couple weeks ago that were just divine. Perfect. Hot, crispy, salty, everything. The last two times I've been to the same McDonald's the fries have been terrible.

I will say that I've had a little more luck with Wendy's new fries than old fries but they still can be awful.

always ask for fries no salt if you want fresh ones. sometimes they are a little underdone though.

during non-peak times they will sit there forever. they are only supposed to last 7 minutes. past like 9:30, they will sit for at least a half an hour.

had the new bk chefs choice today. I like the concept, and it looked good, but the meat tasted and looked like a wet sponge.

getting food from the regular menu = fishy move.

im never more satisfied with the pricier items. in fact, when Im spending $4 on a sandwich I do not want to end up still hungry so i just gorge on the dollar menu along with it.

but if im sticking exclusively w/$1 menu, being frugal is forefront and im comfortable getting 1-3 items.

Just got back from BK, it looks like they've unleashed a new value menu

$1/$2/$2.59

$1 has a bacon cheeseburger, 4 pc nugget, tender crisp (smaller version, but still bigger than a mcd's mcchicken), other dessert **** I don't care about

$2 has double bacon cheeseburger, 8 pc nugget, coke float, etc. etc. (there's another chicken sandwich of some sort, and the only other thing I remember is apple pie a la mode)

$2.59 seemed like the rip off menu, it was a 9pc chicken fries, a bacon cheeseburger deluxe (basically paying .59 for the lettuce tomatoes and mayo)

I guess it just came out today, and the lady at the counter didn't even know it was displayed. I wish I remembered more, but I was sort of floored when I bit into my $1 chicken crisp and discovered BACON AND ****ING CHEESE in addition to the standard lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Was really fresh too. Might have been a mistake, but will hit again.

ate a new wendy's burger tonight and after the final bite i felt like i'd just licked a salt lick from a rabbit's cage. will stick with the spicy chicken nuggets.

random thought...burger king, more than any other fast food place, come out every now and again with "specialty" limited time only items...two of them i loved are the angry whopper and the sour dough bacon cheeseburger..just sucks that they come, and they go and pretty sure neither have been brought back...i know the angry whopper was only around a year ago but the sbc had to be like 6 or 7 years ago and pretty sure havent seen it since...

just feel like if they have a limited time only item and its a big hit, why not bring it back, either permanently or once again for a limited time?...thoughts

KKC, that post inspired me to find out if there are Checkers in the Philadelphia area. Checkers/Rallys could be the best fast food out there outside of more upscale fast food like Culver's or Five guys.

Results: There are Checkers around here!

I wonder what would kill you faster, Dominoes pizza or food from McDonald's?

Mcdonalds mcrib commercials finally got me, I had to go get one today. It was terrible and great all at the same time. I was planning to not go overboard on food and just get the meal since I usually get a mcdouble or something on the side, and then the mofo at the drive through asks me if I want another mcrib for a $1... I almost hate them for doing this cause you can't say no to it and you cant avoid eating another mcrib when its just sitting there in your kitchen. I'm craving one right now but I don't want to get two! Life so hard.

I went with Dominoes because McDonald's drive thru was backed up.

So easy to order from your phone

And no, I'm not trying to kill myself. I just watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Feeling guilty

In my area of Canada, they bring back the Angry Whopper a few times a year. I can remember a BBQ whopper back when I was in high school that was amazing that I'm pretty sure has never come back.
