A few friends and I have what we call the Whopper Challenge on Whopper Wednesday.

6 whoppers, 2 in combos, one with reg drink, one with chocolate shake, one with poutine, one with reg fries.

Must consume in 1hr.

I've done it and had to go back to work after. Wasn't pleasant especially since we were framing houses.

This is LOLCanada don't forget but back in my college days Sundays were $0.69 cheeseburger day at McDs. The max they would let you order is 20. I got 20, my roommate got 12. He finished 6 and was done. I ate my 20 and his leftover 6.

I spent the next 4 hours with intestinal pain moaning on the couch.

wtf, that's ridiculous to eat 26 cheeseburgers. I hope you got a lot from that bet.

had the cool ranch dorito taco for lunch and thought it was ok , it tasted like a regular hard taco with a hint of cool ranch , felt like they could have added more of the cool ranch flavor . it was still good but the nacho is better

Both new TB tacos had the same issue to me. Not enough flavor.

They should make them using Spicy Nacho or Habanero or one of the other much stronger flavors.

They really need to revamp the Doritos tacos and double the seasoning used. Would make them so damn elite.

Nice. Very impressive. Back in the 70's I was at the University of Delaware and the local McD's had a promotion with $.15 cheeseburgers (hell, the regular price was probably $.39 back then LOL). I ate 10 and washed them down with the better part of a case of Schaefer beer ($2.99 a case FTW). When I got back to my dorm I literally couldn't lay on my stomach. I can't even imagine eating 26 burgers. I did eat 14 Jack in the Box tacos one time which was a huge mistake.

As hard as it is to put on a Doritos chip? Those chips in the bag that are caked in seasoning are sofa king good.

well only about half the chips are fully loaded with dust

This was obviously going to be the issue as it is the same issue they have with the chips. 1 good chip/shell to 5 if you are lucky.

Doritos can taste exactly the same without the powder fellas

The fine folks who Make them decided against that, though

so I went to get a haircut at 4:15 and decided to swing by Taco Bell right after for some Cool Ranch tacos. As I opened the door, "Skyfall" was playing, which is the Adele song I hate the least, so that was a good sign. I walked up to the guy and asked for two cool ranch tacos. He stared at me blankly for a bit and I said "Do you have them yet? I heard they're out today." He then nervously glanced to his left and right (I'm one of 4 people in the taco bell at 5pm), leaned in, and in a hushed tone, asked me, "how many do you want?" I said two, with lava sauce, and a fresco bean burrito. I couldn't even fill up my baja blast mt. dew before a manager comes out with a lot of tacos on my tray:

She said that two people accidentally made my order, so I got two tacos with lava sauce and two without. #winning!

I unwrapped one of the tacos w/ lava sauce first:

It was really, really good. The shell and the lava sauce combo was extremely zesty and delicious. It is a more subtle flavor, but I thought it was better than the nacho cheese ones. I was a CR>NC guy growing up eating doritos and I think taco bell has better nacho cheese options (lava sauce). I really like the consistency of the shell; it is a little thinner and not quite as crispy, and tasted extremely fresh (hopefully that continues).

The taco was still good without the lava sauce, but I'd definitely get the lava sauce going forward. I think it's the best item I've had lava sauce on there; I think the flavors mix really well.

Thanks for the tip. Will get 2 and 2 with and without lava sauce tomorrow to try.

Taco Bell questions:

Is it better to order sides of lava sauce like the receipt above or just ask them to add it to each menu item?

What TB menu item has the creamy jalapeno sauce on it regularly?

Have any of you West Coasters tried La Salsa? There is exactly one on east coast in NJ and its way better than Qdoba.
