Green chile double from whataburger. Was alright and had decent heat but would have rather had an original whataburger.

Yeah, that was holding me back from trying it even though I love guacamole.

I think it helped that the guac wasn't the only condiment. It added something without having to be the whole show. And of course I'm sure the freshly prepared stuff from the mom & pop down the road is 1000% better.

Anyone try the new revamped Wendy's single/double/triple? Supposedly it was designed to compete against 5-guys.

Was available starting yesterday. The news article made it sound pretty good.

Has a toasted bun, thicker looser packed meat, different pickles and some other stuff.

i haven't been to wendy's since yesterday, but the last 2 times i've gone (in the past month) the burgers are wtf terrible. The old burgers hung outside of the bun a good amount which was good imo, and now the burgers are barely the size of the bun. They are thicker now, but they are definitely not packed looser. They were way more dense than the old burgers. idk, maybe it was something that they were testing but it was no good.

i'll try to go to wendy's this week and see if its different now.

edit: the picture didnt show up for me the first time. That is def. the burger my Wendy's has had for the last month or so and its terrible.

The old Wendy's triple was awesome and unique, there wasn't really any fast food burger equivalent. Looks like the new one messed up the meat to cheese to bun ratio, what a shame. I'll have to try new one in name of research.

5 Guys app is the nuts for avoiding the usual 5 Guys line that can be there. Skip the line and just go to pickup and give them your name. Highly recommended.

Had Wendy's a few days ago.. I thought the same thing (did everything shrink minus the bun?). I remember when the meat was bigger than the bun.

I think all fast food has gone up in price and shrunk in portion size. Del Taco still has the largest/cheapest sodas and the largest/cheapest/worst fries known to man.

I used to call ahead to 5 guys for this same purpose, it was pointless. I would arrive, my burger would be ready but they dont start the fries until you get there. Therefore you end up waiting just as long. The fries take longer than the burger. You end up with a cold burger (still good but not optimal) and piping hot fries.

So a Five Guys opened next to the In-n-Out by my place. Tried the cheeseburger "all the way" and I have to say I like In-n-Out better. That and the cheaper prices means I'll probably be going to In-n-Out over Five Guys every opportunity in the future.

Ah I see Im not the only one who thinks no pickle should be "sweet"...

Tasted a sweet pickle for the 1st time a few weeks ago. Hated it.
