FWIW, it seems like people in the West Coast swear by I-n-O, but you get more mixed results from people from other places. I for one think 5 Guys is a good deal better. I lived in NV for a couple of years and always though I-n-O was fine, and very good for the cheap price, but would rarely make a specific trip to eat there.
In the interest of fairness, there was a pretty extensive "who makes the best burger" thread around here a year or so ago - I-n-O and 5 Guys were the two front runners, but I-n-O won by a fairly high margin. (edit: here it is
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/34...burger-457109/ Closer than I thought, but InO wins w/ 24%, followed by 5Guys @ 20% and "My Local Joint" at 19%.)
If you're going to be near one, you should definitely at least try and see for yourself.
BTW, while I'm giving advice, Chick-fil-a would probably have to be the #1 spot on my Fast Food list - Original Chicken Sandwhich (add Mayo), Waffle Fries, and if they still have it, Bananna Pudding Milkshake = perfect fast food.
Carl's Jr 6 Dollar Burgers are also good, of course try 5 Guys, Popeyes makes the very best fried chicken IMO, way better than KFC. Chipotle is great.
If you drive past one, eat at Waffle House, preferably while drunk after 2 am. You want your hash browns Scattered, Covered, Chunked and Diced. Whatever you do, stay away from Bert's Chili.
