It's easy to cherry pick a burrito like that, but there are plenty of relatively healthy options at Chipotle. If you got a Burrito Bol, you cut off 300 calories and can get in at around 700-800 calories, which is about a Subway footlong. For example, I get every single ingrediant on my burrito except for beans, green salsa, and guac, and my steak burrito clocks in at 995 calories. Eliminate the tortilla and you got a 700 calorie meal which is very filling and has a ton of protein.
I agree. I read a couple of articles about how to eat Chipotle healthy, and even most FF places have enough options for that kind of thing.
My first post just goes back to when I was in college, and a Qdoba right next to campus opened. I f'ing loved that Queso Burrito, and it always seemed crazy that I could get a 3-pound brick of food for $5 or whatever. Until someone told me it was 2000 calories. Took the wind right out of my gustatory sails.
Still, I don't want to derail this thread with health concerns. Obviously we're all consenting adults and are expected to know the consequences of our FF actions. The next time I go to Qdoba, I'm going to get a steak Queso Burrito with sour cream, rice, and pinto beans, because I ****ing love that ****.
