Ugh. Today, Taco Bell was in app giving out free Mexican Pizzas to the 1st 20,000 people to order them. I had everything loaded in the app and on the Payment screen. By the time I got to the local TB the deal was over.

I had to settle on the free taco.

Went into my Popeye's for a $2.80 spicy breast ala carte, and when I went to fill my water cup, I got a few fruit flies thrown in for free. Lol, no water for me, and no more of this Popeye's either. I knew they'd been slipping but c'mon. I did eat the chicken and biscuit this time though, one for the road.

Is quality making a comeback?

In the last week or so I’ve had meals at Rick’s (egg McMuffin and hash brown) and Wendy’s (single, free fries) and both were 10/10. Everything made perfectly, hot and fresh. Even the appearance was perfect. I’ve rarely had anything I’d rate as better than 6 or maybe 7/10 at either location since at least 2019.

Might just be variance but I’ll ride this heater as long as I can.

I'm currently testing my limits at Golden Corral. It's my first time back since Corona.

In honor of this thread I made a steak sandwich. It was probably the best cut of steak I ever had at a GC. I was surprised. Also the onion rings were top notch.

I got here too late and missed the lunch cheeseburgers. One of my favorite burgers.

I'm currently pacing myself by reading 2+2.

The variance between Golden Corrals is big too. There's one that is actually very good with the fried chicken. Worth the price easily just for that. Another one is just worthless in all regards, I wouldn't trust them with anything.

I've been to two. The one in Denver was fantastic - everything fresh and awesome. The one in Tampa Bay was awful - everything tasted like it was 24+ hours old and re-heated.
