How in the hell will CFA ever get anyone to work for them under that scheme as long as Taco Bell, Krystal, and Krispy Kreme exist?

CFA should try to get houseless people to work for them.

I've met a few homeless cooks in my day. Homeless by choice, eat their meals on the clock and sleep in their cars types. One guy i knew, would be so high on speed, he would stay up for days and ride his bike up and down this coastal island town listening to metal.

This guy was something else, I've never seen anyone work like he did. He could take 150lbs of vegetables and 100lbs of ground beef per day, cut and portion each with such precision that you would think a machine did it.

It's a weird trade off that we need people like this to cook us delicious meals in restaurants and fast food joints.

In-N-Out made me wait 20 minutes for my delicious double double and fries, 6 something pre-tax, $7.20 w tax. Just too slow, I'm a busy man! Lol not really but I could be in theory. It's a good option to have but Whataburger is just more my style I think, taking as a whole ff culture experience. And my Whataburger is a helluva lot closer than InO too.

There are two types of people: In-N-Out people & Whataburger people.

As Popeye says, I yam what I yam.

And in other burger news, my BK keeps getting worse and worse, kinda amazing it's still open. All the competent workers and managers are long gone, it's sad but this location just needs to close. It had a good 90s, got pretty bad into 2000s but came back somewhat, but post-Covid it's time to pull the plug. Good location too, nice neighborhood etc., damn shame.

I'm down with both. Native Texan, lived longer in Cali than Tx, though (nevermind how long I've lived in Az). I have conflicted tastes.

Now if I could only get green chilis on my Dub-dub...

Yeah I agree. But I totally think I coulda been an In-N-Out person if I'd settled in California instead of Texas way back when. Not enough lives to go around, maybe next time.

Raising Canes opened in Oakland CA a couple weeks ago, the first in the area. The lines have been crazy- like winding around a large parking lot (used to be a Walmart there) crazy. I've been there 3 times already because I work nearby and various co-workers wanted to check it out. The fingers were pretty juicy but bland with the soggy breading half-falling off. The fries were few and soggy and the toast was soggy too- just near-zero crispiness anywhere, maybe due to the container it all comes in. Is this standard, or is the Oakland factor (we're not really good at anything) coming into play?

For some reason Burger King is slowly black-listing my app accounts. My family started with 4 working accounts and are now down to only having one account that will accept CC payments.

Ah got it, thanks.

I'm always mystified by small portions of low cost sides like fries, especially at places like Popeye's- seems like they could draw more business and be more profitable by increasing portion size, but I guess they're good with their system. I worked at one of those fast food Chinese steam table joints in LA where they gave huge portions of fried rice and chow mein with their combo plates, they were always busy and made a fortune (girlfriend's aunt and uncle owned it).

Raisin Canes food is hugely overrated. They recently opened one right down the block from me and lines are always huge. I don't get it. The sauce is nothing special either tbh
