made pies for Mazzio's Pizza my JR & SR years in HS. apparently it's a middle of the country thing:

adjusted for inflation i was making $8.52/hr (minimum wage at the time, not min wage now..no surprise). got to have all the free club crackers from the salad bar and free FFDP from the soda machine i wanted. also some meager meal allowance per month that resulted in a mini personal pizza with one topping, prob $3 at the time.
the real scame was getting to eat all the 'wrong' orders that were sent back...we made two or three 'wrong' pizzas a night just to have something to take home and squeeze a bit of extra value.

I wonder what genius at MCD came up with the free fry Friday promotion.

Going to try a different strat on the 246: Qpc + 10 piece nugs. Nugs are the only thing thet make that reheats well

An old of friend samdash ran the dime scam when he worked at MCD. He'd pocket a dime or whatever from each cash change transaction when manning the drive thru

I got a good deal on some fast food at lunch just now. It wasn't great food but it was fast and cheap and sorta entertaining in a way I guess.

It's not as good. I would describe it as close to generic fried chicken. Similar to Walmart's.

Supermarket fried chicken is not in the same league as Popeyes. No line forms for the $5 cheap chicken special. I remember a period of time where the recipe was inedible

Albertsons used to have the best, no idea if that's the case now.

That being said, value plays. I'll never pay full price for a bucket of Popeyes

Those also get put in the $5 Friday deals rotation. I've never tried them. (yet)

BTW, that grilled mango-habanero chicken I bought the other day sure went down easy. I think I could have eaten the whole chicken without too much effort.

My TB is placed directly between work and home. I don't know about you, but it's been super convenient for me to zip in the drive thru and just nab the taco.

I have been hitting up that half price coupon for the new burritos a bit, though. Paired with a supreme taco, that's a decent meal for $1-$2 total.
