Just got value ****ed by TB again. The "$2.00" burritos here are $2.89 before tax.

My wife called today as she was on the way back from an urgent care visit with a relative and said she was stopping by Jersey Mike's. (My excuse for not being prepared with your recommendation.) I wasn't in the mood for my usual Italian (only thing I've had from JM) and couldn't remember your recommended combo. I did stumble into the #56 and it was absolutely scrumptious.

Not sure I'll ever venture into the #99 though as I'm not a big fan of chipotle. As I was eating the #56 I was thinking that it needed just a bit more flavor. Initially I was thinking something with a kick to it, but then the cumulative effect of the jalapenos kicked in. Not sure what to try to add. Maybe I'll bet it all on #99 one day after all.

The only thing that makes it chipotle is a chipotle mayo which isn't necessarily that big on the actual flavor of "chipotle" but is definitely flavorful and has some good heat.

I recommend getting the #56 and just asking for a side of chipotle mayo so that you can try it with and without and decide for yourself if you like it.

I think it's the bomb. I always get an extra side, whether it's for the cheesesteak, or the turkey sandwich.

Following on TB $2 screwage, I got one beef and one chicken. In both cases, literally all of the ingredients except for the meat were on one side of the burrito, and 100% meat on the other end. And with both, I started on the other ingredients side and legit thought for both that they'd just forgotten the meat.

I know that burritos are always a mix of different amounts and combos of flavors in each bite, but it would have to be damn near intentional to pull off what they did.

It was like a Mexican McDLT.

I only go to TB like once every month or 2 but the past few trips have been turrible.

DD,
Thanks for the suggestion of getting a side of chipotle mayo. I am quite capable of missing obvious things. I'll certainly do that the next time I get a #56. Now I'll need to explore other sides JM has as they are still relatively new here so I haven't been often.

That sucks DD, sounds like your TB franchise is wack.

glad you like it. it's one of the few FF sandwiches i actually crave at times.
DD is correct below about the chipotle mayo, and JM also has a pepper relish that's fantastic on cold sandwiches. i've never tried it on a hot meat sandwich, but def brings the flavor so shouldn't be wrong.

I'm thoroughly impressed, and they all nail the $2 price point.

$2.50 here in the part of the country without sales tax. ordered them as offered w/out any changes. gotta say that was a pretty filling, satisfying lunch for $5 out the door. sure seems like having the beef one grilled like the chicken offering would make it even better.

This afternoon, based on your review, I tried the veggie burrito at TB. Even though it was mostly rice with some black beans and a smear of guac, it still was pretty satisfying.

Nevertheless, I miss the 7-layer burrito.

My true preference is Bill The Butcher style. Just slap it around in the pan for a few seconds.

In other news, it is World Carnivore Month this month. You can buy plain meat/cheese patties from Wendys, MCD's, etc.

This is terrible, if true. I seriously think the entirety of my 2021 purchases from Rick’s were exclusively those coupons.

I don't do much fast food but when I do I just do it thru the DoorDash app as I paid for a year of their DashPass this summer. I have never used the dedicated apps from a FF site Like McD's, Wendy's, Taco Bell that don't have their own dedicated delivery drivers (like Jimmy Johns, Little Caesars, etc). Can you get delivery thru those apps? If so, do they just use DD, PostMates, drivers? If they do I might want to install some of their apps and give it a try for the coupons and rewards.
