I'm with you on that one...

BTW, I noticed that the managers of many of these type of places are VERY motivated my the surveys that the restaurants push on their receipts.

One manager I know will give you a free lunch for every positive survey you complete. (Needs positive written comments not just the multiple choice)

A negative survey is worth at least a free dinner and a phone apology from the manager.

I replied, "Uh, would you like to donate a taco to help a kid get unhungry" and he just said "Your total is 5.05 pull around"...i guess that was a no.

Then i received my drink and it was probably 85% ice...fun times
Yeah, I hate when I forget to request light ice. Some places like to fill the cup with it.

...and the unhungry line is excellent.

Carl's Jr. chicken tenders - taste good, little skimpy on size, a little greasy too (but added to flavor).

I love Carl's but I can't even get these things down. Honestly, my body won't let me eat them and that's not true of any other fast food. Also their supposed "new recipe" is the biggest bunch of crap ever, I got suckered by that only to discover that it was the same old nastiness that I can't eat. $25 or whatever they cost down the drain.

You must be thinking of a different chain because the chicken tenders are new. The old ones [chicken strips] were flat and tasteless.

And honestly, if you can't eat these, it's probably because you don't like chicken. They're pretty damn good imo.

hardees chicken tenders are the best in the business imo

srsly, unless Carl's Jr. tenders are somehow vastly different from Hardee's, I find it pretty bizarre that someone would think they're subpar.

NY/NJ'ers - anyone try Rutt's Hut? Supposed to be great hot dog's in cligton, NJ.
Deep fried dogs...

Anyone try it? Debating driving down to check them out. About an hour drive from me, so looking for recommendations.

Next on my want to try in NJ list is R U Hungry? The grease trucks at Rutger's. Probably try the classic fat darrell - these are all decadent heroes - which are almost garbage plates on bread. The Fat Darrel is lettuce, tomato, chicken fingers, mozz sticks, marinara sauce and french fries on a hero.
Pictured below:

Oh and I can definitely throw my vote behind all american burger in Massapequa, NY - grew up near there and it is definitely worth a trip. (Burger, knish, shake)

Getting a "snack pack" at Culver's has to be the pro move. You don't get quite as many fries and the drink is a small instead of a medium, but who cares about the fries and if you're dining in go get a refill already. So much cheaper than just getting a regular basket.

Did that today, used savings to get a shake.

I am with you on this. Love their snack packs. I just wish they had Double Deluxe snackpack. The single just doesn't taste as good, even though I can't even eat a full double burger.

I love culvers so much.

Had a McDonald's shake the other day, and it came in a clear plastic cup with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

When the **** did this happen?

I had a shake last weak and they asked me if I wanted whipped cream. I'm glad they asked because I hate whipped cream on beverages.

I'm pissed enough that they won't honor a coupon being offered on the homepage of their site but I understand the stores can opt out, though they should have to post it somewhere so everyone can see what douchebags they are being.
i had a similiar experience at Submarina the other day. Except the guy wouldnt honor the coupon even though his store was listed as a participating store. He commented that a lot of people were pissed at him this week because of it. Shocking. But he couldnt honor it because he didnt make money from it. I was like yeah you might want to tell corporate not to list you as a participating store in coupon promos. He said the other coupons were ok, just not this one. ok. lol.

Funny thing is probably 95% of the people only went there because of the coupon. The shop is a ghost town - I dont think Ive ever seen another customer in there. Pissing off everyone probably wont help much.

Hope you didn't buy anything. Scumbag didn't realize the coupon was doing exactly what it was supposed to do..he doesn't need to be making money from it to be effective.

Yeah, their shakes are now just like Jack in the Box. It's lame, because you're getting way less shake than before- and it comes with terrible whipped cream. If I want an olde timey shake that comes with a tin cup full or more shake I'd go to Harold's Olde Timey Burgery or someting. I get fast food because I want vants of unhealthy product made in a lab by robot Cambodians. STOP ****ING WITH THE PROGRAM.

After seeing it on Man vs Food last year, me and 3 friends drove down to Rutgers just for the R U Hungry truck.

Well, well, well worth it. We're going to be going back again this summer to get some. The Fat Darrel isn't really that good. I forget exactly what I had (I think Fat Knight and another one) but they were tasty. There's so many choices now too, I guess a bunch of kids have beaten the challenge. Definitely worth the trip
