I enjoy BK fries.

Dip 'em in Zesty sauce for maximum enjoyment.

Gf loves them too. I hate the fries, not the love.

I threw away the rest of the fries, which is extremely rare for me. Waste not, want not (unless we're talking bottom buns).

Do you guys really order 'off the broiler'? I just never really have the balls to make that part of the order. And no real way to do it in the app. My current move is to add extra onion and pickles for free and hope it ups my chances of freshness, though I realize they are most likely just dragging whopper beefs out of a tray more often than not.

If I'm not in a hurry, yes I always ask for it off the broiler. If you're in the drive-thru, they'll typically have you pull around to wait for it. I've never gotten any static from an employee for requesting that fresh FRESH.

Just whoppers, though. I wouldn't ask for $1 bacon cheeses off the broiler.

Yeah when I ordered a Whopper off the broiler pre-covid while dining in at BK it even said so in the receipt that it was Off the Broiler!

I've done a lot of bold things in my life, but I'm still not bold enough to ask the brain dead hoodrats at my local BK for a burger fresh off the broiler.

I'll never know what that's like.

Hate this take! Every CFA fry is good no matter what the shape.

I may ask the drive-thru person(hopefully on WED!) 'On a scale of 1-10, how irritating is an 'off the broiler' order if they are only getting a Double Whopper?" and reassess.

Definitely do this For Science.

I'm guessing it shouldn't be a hassle at all. You just have to be okay with the wait (which shouldn't be that long).

1000%. Man now I want some waffle fries. I'm also wondering how much of an upcharge I'd pay for all-end-cuts.

Doesn't "off the broiler" at BK mean "fresh out of the microwave"?

lol'd

I remember McD's back in the day. The finishing touch was a mircrowave zap of just a few seconds. Melted dat cheese until JITB started doing counter-advertising.

That's one reason QPCs are so much worse than the 90s.

Quite the opposite. Today's fresh grilled QPCs crush the old crap.

Agree to disagree.

I don't think they're any more freshly grilled. Buns and cheese are cold tho.

The current McDonalds QPC webpage:
https://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en-us/a...resh-beef.html

Quote:
The melty cheese. The toasted sesame seed bun. The tangy pickle and crisp onion. And most important: the quarter pound of 100% fresh beef that’s cooked when you order. That’s what makes our Quarter Pounder® with Cheese the hottest and juiciest yet. It’s perfect made perfecter.

lol wtf, I misread Dodger's initial comment. 90s QPC is trash compared to the current iteration.

Cold buns/cheese sounds like a location issue.
