Holy christ that looks good.

I looked it up for the rest of us -- FarmerBoys is mostly concentrated in Southern California, with a few locations in Vegas and a few in Northern Cal.

Got a couple from South Carolina:

First picture is a Cookout tray with the BBQ sandwich. Cookout's really solid; the fries & nuggets aren't going to be the best you've had but they're reliably good. I love the BBQ sandwich so much so that I don't think I've ever gotten a burger at Cookout. If you're just visiting and don't live in the Carolinas, the pork BBQ is probably going to be better than what you get at home.

Second picture is country ham biscuit from Bojangles with added pimento cheese. Country ham is a sneaky good biscuit choice at Bo's, I would put it on par with steak and sausage as one of their best. The pimento cheese was great too, but that + ham on the same biscuit was a little overwhelming. Next time I go I might get one biscuit with ham and one biscuit with just pimento cheese -- it was tasty and substantive enough that I think having it on its own on a biscuit would be pretty good.

Thanks man! I love enlightening people to some solid regional chains they might not be aware of.

On that note, I'm going to be spending a lot of this winter in South Florida, anyone know of some spots I should be aware of there? I heard Publix subs were the best, but when I tried one a few years ago I thought it was just ok. Should I give it another shot?

I could see Publix subs having a WIDE RANGE.

The BK by my house is undergoing construction. Kind of weird seeing it mostly wrapped in plywood and plastic. Drive-through still open.

I guess it's a good time (we're under "no dine-in" orders) to do that sort of work, but I can't imagine why a BK would need remodeling.

There's a chain called Pollo Tropical that I've liked when down in south Fla.

Joe that is some fine fast food work. Is Cookout's pork kind of vinergary, NC style? Kinda looks like it, looks good.

Pimento cheese is so delicious, I had no idea Bojangles (or any other FF place) offered it. Chick fil a was testing out a spicy pimento biscuit at one point but don't think it ever got off the ground to my chagrin.

Yep -- Cookout does BBQ Eastern NC style. It's vinegary to start with and they add Frank's Red Hot to it. The combination of the vinegar, Frank's, and slaw is so, so good. I'll probably never get a burger from Cookout because I can't pass up the chance to eat their BBQ.

And yes the Bojangles pimento was excellent IMO. So many peppers in it that it was almost crunchy. As I said earlier I would happily have a biscuit with only pimento and no meat -- might do this tomorrow morning!

Sonic advertising this queso burger for $3.99, looks decent but that's a pretty heavy price tag for one burger. Feel like I could get way more burger satisfaction from Rick's for $4.

This. Even their own commercial makes it look like a standard Ricks cheeseburger with some stuff on it.

Edit: Meant to quote Brent about the Sonic burger

I agree the Sonic queso burger looks incredibly small in the commercial.

Bought some manager's special pimento cheese with jalapeno - ie about to expire - and ate it over the course of 3 days or so. Delicious

Looks like it should be $1.49, not $3.99.

Other than that, I'd hit it.

Have never tried their BBQ, but the burgers are terrific. And the shakes. I'd take a burger tray and a shake every day and twice on Sunday.

Sonic could be a really great burger place, but somehow they never seem to put it all together.

They give you zero warning. The manager walks over to the casher and gives you the instructions.

Supposedly all McDonalds are doing it.
I'm surprised we didn't ask to see this video. But this story made me laugh.

They used to, way back when. Their second best one was just like a Whataburger. Their best one was like In n Out, only better.
