once upon a time subway sold their veggie footlongs (with cheese) for $2.99. us poor college kids would buy our own cheap lunch meat and add it to the veggie just to save a buck. i also seem to remember being able to get a loaded wendy's baked potato and large chili for somewhere around $2. OFC the chili went on top of the potato and liberal chili oil was added.

You can see that the potato to everything else ratio is not good...and the fact that the potatoes were sub par on top of that really hurts the entire project. Roberto’s getting docked hard for this. I wanted to go Don Tortaco too, but those bastards wouldn’t answer the phone.

Breakfast burritos is one thing Don Tortaco does way better than Roberto's. I get one like every other time I go there for lunch. I have a Roberto's and Don Tortaco each a block from my house but the Don Tortaco has a drive thru so I go there a lot more now.

Pouring one out for Five Guys. Probably made my final Five Guys purchase today. Still an elite order of L, P, O, J, k&m:

But for $8.89 it has just lost it's value completely.

The final straw though, was GCDS ordering a bacon cheese with pickles and ketchup for $9.99.

Two completely pedestrian burgers, no fries, no drinks: $20.20

So F U FG, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of my life...

Five Guys got all big and they forgot where they came from imho.

It should be about the BURGERS and the GUYS, all FIVE of them.. not about price gouging the remaining customer base so you're franchisees can make mid 5 figures yearly income.

14.17 post tax for the equivalent from McDonald’s. It’s expensive out here, whats an appropriate markup for 5 guys?

I’d pay 25% or so, make it 18. I assume you can no longer supplement with the peanut buffet? That hurts em.

Culvers would be about 16-17 for triples (closest equivalent beefs) I think, Smash burger would be in the same range.

Is that Del Taco BH? Im impressed by the length of the chicken exceeding the tortilla in the crispy. Don't think it would pull me away form the OG chicken. I wish Del came to the midwest!

T-Mobile as part of it's T-Mobile Tuesday's app deals is offering a free Popeye's chicken sandwich and 2 pieces of chicken. As a response, all the Popeye's restaurants in my area has turned off their mobile ordering.

I'm sure it would have been a shitshow.
