You guys really do eat a hell lot. Its semi standard to see 2 females SHARE a double cheeseburger meal in Singapore where I live. They get it cut in half, share the fries and coke. Super standard to see guys eat a single McChicken for lunch as well (not the meal).

Anyway anyone got an opinion on Carls Jr Angus burgers vs their regular burgers?

a standard mcdonalds meal for me is straight dollar menunaire and something like 2 mcdoubles, 4 piece nuggets, mcchicken, fries, coke. that isnt much food.

I'm more amazed at how seemingly standard fast food is as a part of people's daily diets. Last fast food I had was Wendy's Chicken Nuggets (which are to fast food what Jesus was to Christianity) like 2 weeks ago. And before then, it was maybe like a month and a half.

I know. I was just being dickish. They actually taste pretty good, but not worth the extra cost imo. The burger pattie has a better taste, but it's not much bigger, if at all. I thought it'd be thicker and juicer. It wasn't. McDonald's Angus burger wasn't so hot either.

# The Original Six Dollar Burger® Tried it, ok
# The Guacamole Bacon Six Dollar Burger® Want to try, could be really good
# The Western Bacon Six Dollar Burger® Tried it, meh
# The Low Carb Six Dollar Burger® Won't try it, could be good though
# The Portobello Mushroom Six Dollar Burger The 1st one I ate, not good (gravy was though lol)

Do any of the other big chains do Angus burgers?

hardees angus burgers are good, chicken tenders are too. I wish there was one closer to me, I only get it when driving to atlanta. The best part about hardees is they embrace being fast food and serving guys big portions of unhealthy stuff instead of running commercials with salads and wraps in order to bring in soccer moms and fruitcups.

I heard Hardees is the same as Carls Jr? Just different a different name.

I did try the portobello mushroom Angus once and I loved it but it tasted the same as a non-Angus portobello mushroom double. Price difference of about $4 though.

What is your standard Chipotle order?

I've recently been dabbling in the burrito bowl with half chicken and half barbacoa. Delicious.

Chipotle is new to this area and I finally went there about a month ago. I got the Carnitas burrito and it was f'in delicious. Much better than anything I've ever had at Moe's.

Chipotle is definitely my favorite for standard burritos. Qdoba for quesadilas. Boloco (Boston-based) for weird flavors (buffalo, bangkok, etc.)

Standard order is burrito w/ rice, black beans, barbacoa, mild + medium + corn salsas, and cheese. Occasionally I switch it up and get carnitas. If I'm eating there I often will order a bowl with the above ingredients and get an order of chips to scoop with.

I've been to Arby's so often since they printed million coupons in the paper that I'll have to start a 12-step program soon. I've begun shooting horsey sauce right into my veins.
I find your assessment to be correct. I enjoyed that sandwich thoroughly, but it still left me hungry. For $7, I want to feel full.

Steak Fajita Burrito Bowl with hot salsa, cheese, no sour cream.

Get some chips on the side.

Barbacoa crisp tacos is my standard chipotle order. I enjoy them a lot more than a didsian burrito.

Went to Five Guys this weekend and witnessed something a little disturbing while watching the theater of it all:

Burgers started out fat and juicy when they first went on the grill, but just before they got flipped the guy smashed the meat down with great force with one of those rectangle presses with a handle on top you may use to weigh down bacon or something. Then with a spatula in his right hand he scrapes up the now 1/16th inch thick patty in one swift motion and flips it.
I even saw him botch a patty-move and then just re-smash the pile of beef into a patty and scrape-flip, good as new...

Not really sure how I feel about it because the burgers are still insane.

Probably makes them cook faster and it doesn't really matter as you are getting the same amount of beef.

One thing I did like is there was still actual red left in all the burgers we got.
