Well the value just isn’t as good when you buy a la carte so it wasn’t like the equivalent of three grande meals. Still it was enough for both of us for lunch, an evening snack, and a couple of items leftover for today, if they’re still edible. The heavy hitters in this thread might’ve downed the whole bag in one sitting.

When Mikey Chen eats at fast food (usually in foreign countries), that is a worthy watch.
Keith can be terrible, but just saw him eating everything at olive garden in a Uhaul truck. That wasn't bad.

i could be wrong, but i believe jalitos are only available at texas DQ locations.
DQ texas is kinda like canadian A&W...similar, yet different.

Paging kioshk. Just made an impulse decision to stop at Whataburger for breakfast on my way to work. Couldn’t remember what you say is good there so I got an egg and cheese on a jalapeño biscuit and hash browns. Absolutely delicious, completely blew other fast food breakfast out of the water including CFA. The biscuit in particular was a revelation but the egg and cheese combo was better than McDs and the hash browns were crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

I'm going to be in Texas next month so maybe I'll give Whataburger breakfast a try. I'm 0-2 in my previous WB visits. I heard all the hype and was really looking forward to trying it but it was mediocre in my book. Might have been location dependent though: downtown San Antonio and Love Field.

The best part about Whataburger is that they'll actually serve you burgers any time of day. So stupid how many FF places reserve the morning for "breakfast items only."

I don’t typically eat Whataburger but wanted to try the breakfast and it was well worth it

Craptastic CFA forgot or neglected to put the egg in my Egg White Grill again. Went back inside and got it handled. While I waited I got to watch a couple employees argue with each other. Things were great when they came out right though.

Yeah, I get the egg cheese sausage biscuit, the #22 Whatameal w the hash browns (they upgrade my coffee size gratis), $5.20 or so. I get the jalapeño biscuit usually but sometimes change it up with the plain. They do a great job at breakfast, plus it's served 11pm to 11am so theoretically you could stop by at 3am after a few latenight beverages etc. I used to do that type of thing now and then.

Went to Wendys, ordered a doublestack meal, sub chili add cheese and onion for the fries, FFDP, and using free baconator fries coupon I got on the last FFDP.

I received my drink and quickly tested it to make sure it wasn't Barqs like last time and then peeled the sticker. Free spicy chicken sandwich! Running hot!

Received my food in 3 bags. There weren't nuggets in any of the bags.

The food I did receive was solid and great value for 5.50, and a free spicy chicken in my pocket.

Damn that sounds awful. I've lived near Chicago or NYC my whole life. Moving to Denver shortly and I'm very excited, but kinda dreading the pizza situation

Papa John's has 30% off if you're into that sort of thing.

30% off their regular menu price might actually be worse than their regular coupons.

As an example, regular menu price for a large pepperoni pizza at my local papa johns is 14.50. But they usually have a special going for any large 1 topping for $8.

30% discount would be worse than that.

So - 30% better than no discount, but worse than other coupons they normally have going. Really only useful if you have to order some very specific size or combination of toppings and aren't willing to adjust your order to fit one of their better coupons.

Also, Papa John's pizza isn't good. I'd rather have any other major chain--Domino's, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, etc.--which is sad given how expensive it is.

I'm guessing that's why the poster who kindly posted the coupon said, "if you're into that."

My friend swears by Papa John's. But I have a feeling it's 99% their garlic butter dipping sauce.

Domino's new-ish pan pizza (my preferred combo is extra onions/chicken/bacon/alfredo or garlic sauce/maybe green pepper or tomato if I'm festive) is easily the best chain pizza I've had. LC's garlic pizza thing is also great.

Yeah I think getting good pizza used to be a challenge outside the Northeast or certain cities but now any metro area is going to be flush with good local pizza places. I can name at least five within 10 minutes of my place and a few more that I wouldn’t eat at over the others but are passable. Worst case you cycle through the chains and review them for the thread.

Great post all around. Years ago, the garlic butter sauce might have been a reasonable excuse to order Papa John's. But, mercifully, that is no longer the world we live in.

i put PJ over pizza hut and dominoes. i believe PJ puts out a consistent product and they know the proper amount of sauce to put on a pizza. PH seems like they constantly have the bottom of the barrel of FF employees, and once the grease/butter seeps out of the crust the **** turns to cardboard. Haven't had dominoes in years since i got a roach baked into my pizza there. believe i posted it in this thread.
