tried the new Shredded Beef Soft Taco at Del Taco today (BOGO coupon ofc).

was surprisingly bland, not really any seasoning at all. average size. normally goes for $2.59, would not get again at that price.

FFMrPibb good as always tho.

DT has a BOGO coupon on their website for this item if u want to check it out for yourself.

Yes Cheddar Bay Biscuits were consumed as well obv. New fast food discussion/review threadNew fast food discussion/review thread

I tried:

Crunchy Fiesta Shrimp (New - description from website: Dig into crispy, crunchy, tortilla-crusted shrimp, topped off with a creamy blend of three cheeses and fresh pico de gallo. It's a flavor fiesta you won't want to miss.) These were interesting. Which I rate B+.

Hand breaded shrimp. They were pretty solid. B+

Garlic Shrimp Scampi. A-

NEW! Sesame-Ginger Grilled Shrimp
(Description from website: For endless flavor, try this grilled shrimp with an Asian twist. We drizzle grilled shrimp skewers with savory soy-ginger sauce, then sprinkle them with sesame seasoning.)
These were fantastic. Highly recommended. A+

I remember all those trip reports from back then and I never actually tried it, so went about 3 weeks and wound up getting to 117 with two friends. None of us wanted to back down until the waiter (who was really polite and amused at what we were doing saying it wasn't common) and it gave us an excuse to call a truce.

I think I like the scampi the most in the beginning, but as it get on the sesame grilled was probably half as many calories.

Thinking of hammering a bunch of shrimp this weekend. Seems like a challenge type of deal baby!

Didn't word that really well.

We both were stuffed at that point along with the 3 20oz beers but I'm normally not a huge eater and my friend prides himself in being able to eat a lot, so none of us wanted to stop. I think the waiter didn't realize what we were doing since we were nonchalantly throwing them down but it must have become obvious by our pained looks we were having a contest so he asked us "You guys trying to see how many you can eat or something? The chef was asking who's at table XX! "

I think that stroked our ego enough that we did eat a lot, so we called it a truce and stopped trying to go for more.

With the demise of the McDonald's $1 sandwich, here's the latest best deal available at McDonald's:

Note: This ONLY works at the McDonald's kiosks!

The deal is buy one McNuggets or Chicken Tender item, get another for $1. So I buy a 4 piece chicken nuggets for $1.49 and then add a 6 piece chicken tenders for $1 (Regular price is ~$6.50).

If you try this as a mobile order, drive-thru or at the cashier, the system automatically uses the lowest priced item as the $1 deal. The kiosks do not do this.

I had the glazed tenders today and thought they were pretty good. But I'm guessing this is highly dependent on freshness. Mine were just made.

I love it. I've never used a kiosk before but that exploit makes me want to try.

so with the Wendy's app...some deals you can use more than once and some you can only use once a month? I'm a little confused.

The offers are timed in the Wendys app. S
To prevent abuse id reckon.

Speaking of, Wendy's app is erroring out today trying to login. Used my screencap of the $5 daves double combo, no problem.

I don't know why they glue the paper to the cone. First time I had the cone I was like **** I cant eat that glue and threw away the bottom portion, which is a damn shame. Second time I was like **** they wouldnt use glue it has to be an edible adhesive! And this time I decided edible adhesive + trace amounts of paper = ok.

For some reason I really WANT to like the Wendys spicy chicken. With app coupons replenished, I thought today Id try a different location, which usually produces better results. Two spicys, and they were indeed better, but still OBJECTIVELY INFERIOR to BKs 2 for $6 spicy.

Today, I went back to the Wendy's that the manager refused to sell me a small frosty.

My family ordered 4 free half salads (using the app), 3 Jr. cheeseburgers and a small drink. While we were waiting for the food, the manager saw the receipts with the 4 free salads and freaked out. She started yelling at the cashier. I felt sorry for that dude.

My Taco salad was awesome and pretty darn filling too.

Did you exploit the system some how? Technically isn't it legit if everyone in your family has a phone and the app? Would the manager have felt better if it was 4 separate transactions?

It was 4 people making 4 transactions from 4 phones using 4 apps but only one credit card.

And trust me, I felt bad with how the ass**** manager treated the cashier.

So McDs app discounts suck and haven't been since last week. What's with this game? Anything good?

this is silly - a quick call to Wendy's corporate should end this problem/manager

That manager getting mad is ridiculous for several reasons, but watching people get mad about stupid things is hilarious so it seems like an overall big win.

Speaking of getting mad (not really) trying to use apps has definitely upped my % of driveaways. I was probably on the high end before, like 15-20% of the time if something's amiss I'm just driving away, with apps it's like 33%. When Wendy's goes to get a third person to figure out how to input a code or a McD's employee insists on their own deal interpretation, I'm out.
