Tortas Ahogada are delicious, but I'm never eating another one for exactly this reason. They're a tremendous pain in the ass to consume.

My Wendy's always clears the deal from the screen. Maybe it's due to my family of 4 are all lined up to order with our phones at the ready.

BTW, had the Big Kahuna at Jersey Mike's today. That place never disappoints (well, maybe on price).

Damn Mark K was my pick for being secretly super obese. So far I’m among the highest BMIs (I’m like 5’11” 205) in the thread and I almost never actually eat fast food, just enjoy the stories in here (I do love it but try to limit my intake to <1 per week because my job is pretty sedentary). Hmm. Well, in my 20's I was 162. It seems I add 5 lb's every decade.

Yeah, I used to take boxing classes for a short time, they are a heck of a workout. But in a feel-good, drain everything you got kinda way. I don't think boxing is a good sport to get into though, you literally get brain damage when you spar, and you need to spar to get good. If it wasn't for the brain damage aspect, I would have got back into it a long time ago. I actually want to do jiu jitsu for the satisfaction of fight training without the brain damage, but those places are too expensive.

No, I'm incredibly wary of CTE, so I'll just be doing boxing training. I have no intention of participating in it as a sport.

BJJ will give you a much harder workout, imo.

Not that this is news to anyone, but diet really does matter so much more than working out. I was working out for a year and a half and didn't lose any weight. Then started intermittent fasting (while also cutting down on crap food) in addition to working out and immediately lost 15 lbs in a month.

Took me way too long to figure out you meant Brazilian Ju Jitsu.

I looked into it, and I probably agree, but I think as someone way out of shape and just getting back into fitness after 10+ years of being sedintary, boxing is a better ramp than BJJ is.

I just got a new job that will have much better hours/is in an area with much better options food wise. This will allow me to eat at home more often/do better on bringing lunch to work.

But yes, I will be mostly participating in this thread vicariously going forward.

Went to Potbelly for the first time the other day. Ordered a Wreck w/hot peppers. Solid suggestion, tasty sandwich & decent bit of heat.

Bonus bogo on receipt. Gonna try the Cuban next time.

You might consider some form of martial art instead. Your legs don't do much in boxing, and there's a lot of muscle mass to work there. My personal favorite is Tae Kwon Do, but any sort of karate or gung fu would also be better than boxing, imo. You also get more full body flexibility.

The instructor is key. Instead of some studio guy like this:

try to find a city program or something like that, and explain to the instructor up front that you want to proceed slowly.

Just increase the number of chickens you chase down and decrease the number of guys slapping your stomach while you do sit ups and it'll balance out.

Last edited by kerowo; 09-24-2018 at 07:47 PM. Reason: Learned boxing training from Rocky movies

Damnit I wanted to be the first one to make a Rocky reference.

Well played. New fast food discussion/review thread

I'm 100% sure the screen capture gimmick would work at my local Renton Wendy's, but I'm fat enough already.

Yep. To all of it. Too many deals and I only eat McDonalds and Wendys as a result. And still offers expire.

Lol, had the same exact order for the first time earlier this week as well. Went again the next day to use the bogo receipt and they gave me another bogo receipt. I wonder if it continues forever !

Got two $.69 cheeseburgers at Checkers today. Good stuff for the price if you don't have a $1 Rick's sandwich available and close by.
