I just saw that email... Sad!

It was such a good deal. I hope they really improve the One club...

Had McD’s new double smokehouse bacon last night. Unfortunately they were out of the onion sauce that comes on it so they put BBQ sauce on it instead...the beef was hot and fresh and it was really tasty. The whole huge order was actually very good.

It’s been ridiculous. I’m going to go a month without. I can’t continue this way. It’s an affront to all that is holy.

I got a chicken fried steak meal deal for $3.99 at Church's today with a coupon. Not bad, they gave me the white gravy on the side so it was really crispy. Often you get the soggy cfs which can be good too I suppose. Biscuit was the honey kind they do and as always a little too sweet for my taste.

I may have just had the best Taco Bell experience of my life with the $5 Nacho Fries box. Everything was perfect. The 5layer burrito is weird but good. Baja Blast because it's the goat FF soda. Taco Bell might have won we back.

Edit: I forgot to mention the 2 steak tacos supreme and apple empanadas. Also great tonight.

Thoughts on Potbelly? Italian with hot peppers (a must if you go there they are spicy as hell) has been my go to and is always pretty good.

Yep, I feel bad for anyone who goes to potbelly and doesn't get something with hot peppers. Try them on the meatball sub, that might be my favorite.

I celebrate much of Potbelly's catalog. My favorites are A Wreck, the Pizza Sandwich, the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and the Clubby. I strongly agree with getting hot peppers on the first two in my list. They're delicious.

Yep, it's a HUGE loss leader, and they just can't do it anymore. The hot dog loss is big enough, the polish was a crazy loser.

Potbelly is quite good for a chain sandwich shop. Hot peppers are a must. Avocado goes great on pretty much all their sandwiches.

I'm a big potbelly fan. Agree - hot peppers are key. I probably only get there once or twice a year, and usually buy a jar (or two) of hot peppers to take home. They're just as awesome on homemade sandwiches and wraps. (FYI part of the reason they are so good is that they are soaking in oil, not vinegar/brine).

Meatball is my favorite at Potbelly, close second is the turkey w/ said hot peppers. A few months ago they were offering a "cuban" - pulled pork and ham with cheese pickles and mustard. I was pleasantly surprised, it was pretty good.

Potbelly desserts are also awesome, shakes and cookies.

No doubt, I don't know how or why but their sugar cookies are ****ing fantastic. They are crispy on the outside and soft/gooey in the middle.

Not exactly fast food, but think it will be of interest to Seattle beef fiends.

I just ate at the Lunchbox Laboratory in Bellevue, having recently seen it featured on the Travel Channel.

Totchos appetizer, I couldnt believe how good it tasted.

I went with the OG Tear Jerker and sweet potato fries, and my old lady selected the Smoker.

My burger was ****ing deliciously spicy and juicy. Excellent. I actually ate every last fry morsel, which I never do.

I was fortunate enough to get 1/3 of my old lady's burger. She likes hers well done (sigh), but it was still close to the best burger Ive ever had. A little pink probably pushes it over the top. The smoked gouda was so wonderful, all the elements at the top of their range.

Potbelly’s sandwiches are kinda puny is my main gripe. I got a shake there once and it was excellent.

I'm a fan of Lunchbox Labs food, no doubt. Tear Jerker is my go-to, homage to the Dick's Delux can absolutely hit the spot too. There's on in South Lake Union too, which is close to work for me.

My issue, like so much in Seattle, is the price. Last time I had lunch there I ordered kind of carelessly, upgrading my side to the mac & cheese of the day (I think was like + 4 or 5 bucks) and ordered a small shake. I think it was $33 after tip for lunch for 1. The food was great, but comeon.

(Excellent photos though.)

The worst thing I've noticed with LL is the service actually. They are soooooo ****ing slow at the Bellevue location.

Point taken, but I never order any size other than BIGS. Those are enough for a meal.

They aren't great value I will give you that. I just haven't found a chain sandwich place that is as good. Honestly they are probably fairly healthy too basing it off their calorie count and how relatively full I feel afterwards. Also haven't found any coupons for them and their app sucks or I would eat there a lot more.

And like Rapini said the Bigs are reasonable size for barely anymore $$$ than the regs so don't get why you wouldn't order them.

That sounds like Seattle. When I lived there I went out to lunch several times at new places and thought I'd dropped $14-15 but it was $30 somehow. Careless ordering, people adding stuff to the table's order etc. I swear when I lived there it seemed like everyone else in the city was making 20x what I was.

potbelly wreck, no mayo or oil and everything else + peppers is a reasonably responsible and very enjoyable sandwich

Potbelly sandwiches seem too toasted. Anyone ask them to push it down the conveyor belt so it doesn't get toasted as much? Maybe there's a term for this, lol

There is no joy in McLovinville.

For mighty McRick's has stopped offering $1 sandwiches.

To end it on a Thursday and on the 19th seems so arbitrary. They must have been losing a metric ton of revenue to end it like this.
