Yeah I think you're right. Taco Bell has a couple great stoner creation classics but other than that Del Taco is better overall.

I went to a Del Taco a few days ago. Hadnt been in awhile. I was planning on getting my first ever double del cheeseburger, but was informed that they were unavailable for the next half hour or so. Something with the grill. It was 11pm at a 24 hour location. Uggggghhhh. I didnt have a reasonable plan B and ended up with a couple bean carnitas burritos. They were ok.

Double Del burger from Del taco is shockingly good

I like their chicken soft tacos and most burritos, particularly the spicy chicken burrito and epic burritos. Their queso is good for FF queso, and I add it to lots of items. An interesting secret menu item is the bun taco, which is kinda like a sloppy joe with taco ingredients. Or going "bold" which means adding fries and secret sauce to any item.

The OG location in Barstow (Del Taco #1, but actually the 2nd location after Yermo, which closed long ago) is supposed to be incredible for FF, but I haven't been.

Del Taco prides itself on quality for FF, by chopping, slicing, grating, and grilling their ingredients fresh in each store. The CEO says they emphasize "quality over quantity", and claims that "We have the value and the affordability and the speed and convenience of a traditional, fast-food, drive-thru restaurant, but we bring and pair that with quality and value that you would expect from a fast-casual restaurant under one roof."

I just love ground beef sandwiches so much.

If there weren't a negative correlation between food and health/weight, i would eat at least 1.5 lbs worth of beef on burgers daily.

Big,

You could easily eat three half pound burgers daily as part of a pretty decent diet. It’s the fries and FFDP that get you.

Yeah, sure, Big cutting out the FFDP, gimme a break! Next thing we know, you'll be telling him to get his burgers protein lettuce wrap style!

Big, he does have a point though. If you can somehow make the switch to FFDDP, you'll be better off.

Steak n' Shake has 2 for $3 burgers. I had the spicy Chipotle burger. It would have been better without the Chipotle mayo, but I don't like mayo so ymmv. I highly recommend it. https://www.steaknshake.com/menu_spe...3-mix-n-match/

I have no idea how they make money. Lunch for the three of us was <$12

Went to Arbys to get some buffalo chicken sliders and instead got their buffalo chicken sandwich at a price of $5.05 including tax. It wasn't nearly as good as the sliders nor a good value. Chicken patty was quite thin and the bun was a downgrade 2.

My mistake not mentioning this earlier

I'm a Big Mac guy but damn that Quarter Pounder is so good now. I get extra everything and also add leaf lettuce.

My McD's has also started with self-serve drink cups. Pay at the kiosk and grab your own cup right there.

The $1 sandwich mcds app deal is ruining my diet. It would be financially irresponsible not to eat mcds everyday.

I've been using it on double filet-o-fish. Very tasty.

Yeah I did a bogo chicken sandwich coupon offer (one buffalo and one regular) a few weeks back. They were both smaller than each bun.

Like wtf Arby's.

Buffalo sliders are legit tho.

Adding lettuce, tomato, & mayo makes that new QPC amazing. Probably better than Dave's single when you add it on.

Big: PM me if you want help putting together a multiple burger + FFDP diet that doesn’t kill you. If you’re not big into fries, ez game!

Mcds app fans: I had to get into the game!

New qpc surprisingly good. Great burger for $1. Lol @ that burger for $6 tho, so many far better options available anywhere for that price.

Buttermilk tenders pretty good for $1/each, not a great value but def worth it and very tasty.

Strawberry Creme pie ****ing great and a real bargain at $1.29!

everything always tastes fresh at DT, no question. the one I go to recently has even added a chalkboard showing when the avocados were purchased - it's always that morning from what I've seen.

my go to lunch there is almost always 2 crunchy Del Tacos, a 1/2 lb bean & cheese burrito w/red sauce and a drink (Mr. Pibb). Mmmmmmmm. and can get it for less than $5 w/survey coupon.

Got a Filet o' Fish tonight for $1 from McRick's as a pre-dinner snack.

The QPC now comes with 2 slices of cheese.

So why the **** does the FoF still come with only a half slice????

I'm seriously going to write my congressman about this.

I had 2 for $6 bacon beef and cheddars today w no red sauce and a packet of Horsey on each. They were salty garbage with minimal meat, and the meat that was there was terrible. And in the hour afterwards had diarrhea twice which actually aligned perfectly with expectations.

Reporting back on the Costco burger. It is double patty double cheese on an untoasted bun. The patty is a bit lean with some char flavor. It mostly tastes of a regular backyard cookout burger. Cheese was just added in slices instead of melted on burger.

Not good enough for $5 though it is filling.

Is this in the food court? I like me a backyard cookout burger. Do they still have the hot dogs?
