I've been eating 1 Grand Mac a week during the $1 sandwich promo. I just finished another this afternoon. I would say I'm a bit burned out on them.

I'm ready to move on.

I haven't had Taco Bell in months and I'm starting to feel the urge.

When did they start doing this??? That makes me sad for all the people that are putting in the hard work.

About mid January when they decided to prioritize content partner networks because they think Logan and Jake Paul is what the people need to be watching instead.

I had a much more modest number during the promo, as I was too enamored with pork belly. But I decided to make up for that today, and temporarily become a FF prepper.

So I bought 20 Double Stacks. All with extra pickles. Both to ensure freshness, and because I really like Wendy's pickle game, as far as FF pickles go.

I ate 3 on the way home, then wrapped up 7 that I put in the fridge for the near future, and wrapped up 10 that I put in the freezer for later. I wrapped the freezer DS's in Saran wrap, then in foil, then put them all into Ziploc freezer bags.

I am not sure how well they will keep, but I figure that if White Castle and others can put burgers in the freezer, then these should still be better than those. If I knew for sure that they would taste good when re-heated from the freezer, I might have bought 50. 😮

I had two in the microwave after a day in the fridge. The bun wasnt good, but there was still a quarter pound of cheesy beef, so well worth it.

I used to do the above with cheesy bean & rice burritos from Taco Bell. Great idea.

I've re-heated from the fridge before, and it's fine. Just haven't done freezer. From fridge, I microwave halfway, then use toaster oven for the other half. That helps solve the bun issue. Not as good as fresh obv, but very very solid.

I'm not particularly a fan of pickles on FF sandwiches but I concur that Wendy's pickle game is quite strong.

No change in expression. I got the feeling that she had seen some pretty large DS orders today. No comment even on the extra pickles for all 20, she just rang it up.

I went to Popeyes tonight and politely inquired if I could get the 3 tender box for $5 considering the Surf and Turf box is that price. I was told no. I said that was okay and ordered the Surf and Turf box.

I opened the box upon returning home to see not 4, but 5 shrimps and not 2 but 3 tenders!

I actually had a less than optimal Popeye's experience yesterday. I had my 3-piece dark and biscuit for $2.99 coupon ready to go at 10am, but alas the doors were locked. Still locked at 10:15 wtf. And me out there shivering like a junkie. So I ended up at Whataburger for a jalapeño biscuit sandwich, breakfast 11 to 11 every day.

A couple more offers popped in after Wendy's app update.

The Wendy's I went to tonight (I did the BOGO Spicy Chicken Sandwiches which were pretty good) did not have Double Stacks.

I mean No Double Stacks At all. My friend's 4 for $4 came with a Jr Cheeseburger.

Ive seen many Wendys commercials today, none for the doublestack as I usually do.

I have independently confirmed by thinking about it that the promo is over.
