At a Wendy's that usually has an under 50% success rate.

Was pretty nice of Wendys allowing substitutes with the GJBC. Sub large chili with cheese and onions plus Lrg pop for $7

WTF kind of idiot can't make a Wendy's profitable?
Mine has been gone for almost two months now. It was torn down to the foundation but there was a sign up with the Wendy's logo on it so I think they are doing a complete remodel.

SE did a GOAT fast food item draft a couple of years back.

From a few minutes of searching, it doesn't look there has ever been a full on fast food entire meal draft.

Any interest?

Rules (beyond the usual draft rules) would include:

1. Must draft an actual meal, whatever that means

2. At the end of the draft, mandatory for all participants to go out and buy their drafted meal and post a photo of it. While this screws the people in Boston for first picking an InO double double, they could still hop on a plane if they really believe in the dream.

3. Anyone who fails to follow #2 is forced to eat a fast food item (an attainable one) of the other participants' communal choice, photo evidence required. Failing to meet this punishment results in a 30 day ban.

Seems like this could support up to 10-12 drafters with 4 rounds of drafting.

If you aren't familiar with how drafts work, take a look at this one that Dominic recently ran to get an idea of how they work.

What is the incentive to participate?

I feel like it would have to be "rosters" with different items (eg two burgers, two chx sandwiches, 1 French fry). Then over the course of say a year everyone has to try and rate every item drafted (other than their own) within reason, and then rank them. $50/person winner take all. Sounds fun but I'm not in the top 20 FF posters so I don't think I'd even qualify. Susceptible to cheating/collusion but...really?

I see McDonald's now has Pumpkin-Cream pies for the season.

I was tempted but didn't pull the trigger.

Finally tried me a Giant JBC at Wendy's. Was very good if not super greasy.

Any man has got to have a cream pie if he's never had one before.

I'm so happy they brought it back, I eat it at least once a week. Great value. It's been said in this thread before, and I agree, they need to add it to the regular menu.

95% sure I just had my first attempt at a FF employee trying to steal money from me/company. Went through drive through at BK and ordered 10 piece nugget and a value French fry. Total should have been like $2.85. Cashier mumbles the total when I pull up to window and I'm not paying attention and hand her my card. Get my food and immediately notice I have two value fry's and a 10 piece nugget.

No big deal they must have mis heard me. I look for the receipt and nothing is in the bag or was handed to me. I check my bank account and was charged $7.27. Even if I was charged for two value fries and a 10 piece nugget total should be $4.40 or so.

It's really not a huge deal but I just sensed something was up. I take the order inside and immediately manager recognizes me and starts saying you ordered two fry's not one. Really strange for her to immediately know what's up? I ask her why I was charged $7.27 to my bank account and it doesn't add up. She pulls out her phone calculator and totals up what I should have been charged and without me telling her again she knows what I was charged...and tells me she's owes me $2.85 back and doesn't take any money out of register but I can't confirm that it was pulled from her pockets. Was I being paranoid or was this 100% a money stealing scam and I caught her? No receipt was given and the way she acted and knew exactly why I was back just made it all too strange. Check and ask for your receipts is the lesson learned!

durango,

It sounds like that manager is definitely stealing. Money from pocket is very damning to the point where there isn't even another reason why they should be doing that.

Screwing with credit cards makes no sense, but I also bet the vast majority of ff orders nowadays go on cc's. I caught a guy doing the much easier way to steal the other day, because it has an excuse built in: They simply shorted me $1 in change.
It may have been an honest mistake, but I doubt it. Bought 2 Big Macs for junior for $5 with a 20 and he gave me back $13.xx instead of $14.xx.

Paraphrasing Andy Dufresne: Because when you think about, how many people look at their change at the drive thru?

Easiest way to steal by far is just charge you the correct amount and then not ring the order in / cancel the order in their system. At least that's how we did it 18 years ago

I did this again today. It works like clockwork. 10:45am, they bring out a tray packed with free food.

I may need to change my CFA breakfast strategy to show up at 10:30am, just order a small coffee and wait for the food tray.

Yeah the whole thing just felt like a way to steal $3 from me and the real reason it felt like that was the lady immediately was defensive when I walked in and basically knew why I was in there and started her defense case. It could have been a mistake but I'm leaning heavily towards scam. Going to watch my debit card to make sure they didn't skim my data too...

lol I was starting to hit it up a little more recently but I'm officially done with BK. The attitude of this lady was basically like I got caught and she was so flustered and of course didn't have a name tag on. It was shady as heck. BK is dead to me unfortunately now....
