Grilled dogs were good. For some reason, I got one with ketchup, mustard, onions and relish, and the other had shredded cheese and mustard. I like the idea that perhaps you just order a grilled dog and then you get random condiments.

Looks like Wendy's has discontinued the double stack as part of the $4 meal. So I had my first JBC in a long time. I forgot how much I enjoy it.

Went the other day and sort of panic ordered when I realized it was gone but I agree the JBC is a worthy substitution. Seriously Wendy's is just delicious, even if the fries were a tad undercooked.

A jbc when you haven't had one in awhile is quite refreshing. And I normally hate tomato on burgers.

Carolina's has about the best red chile going. I remember my mother taking me there when I was a kid, like 30 years ago when she worked at APS downtown.

McDonald’s will celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday by giving away free soft serve cones, but for one lucky customer at the Golden Arches, they’ll get more than just delicious frozen treat.

According to a press release issued by the company, one lucky customer that redeems a free cone on Sunday will receive a special edition “Golden Arches Cone.” That cone will entitle the recipient to a lifetime of free soft serve ice cream at the restaurant chain.

In order to be eligible to get the special cone, customers must download the McDonald’s app and redeem the free vanilla cone offer between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at participating locations.

Customers wishing to just get a free ice cream cone at the restaurant can do so throughout the day on Sunday, according to the company.

GODSPEED GENTLEMEN GODSPEED

I'd take it, but doesn't that seem like not that big of a prize to make a big deal about giving ONE of them away? I thought FF places had some sort of free food for life cards that they were really stingy with, now that would be a score. Or maybe that's an urban legend.

If you read the fine print, the actual prize isn't even ice cream. It's $1100 or whatever they consider the cost of buying a lifetime of ice cream cones.

That doesn't surprise me. I assume that all of these "X free for life" (or however long) giveaways are nightmares of fine print, limitations, and legal restrictions. Like if you win free food for a year somewhere you say, "Awesome, I'm going to eat here everyday, it's great!" "Uhh, actually you get a $20 credit once a week."

Won free Domino's for a year. What that means is I get $25 gift card each month of the year. $300 worth of Dominos. I'll probably just use em for my kids birthday parties to feed a lot of people.

Yes Carolinas is elite. They have one at cave creek and cactus now which is like 10 mins from me. 3 way burrito FTW (red chile, green chile, beans and add potato/cheese)

Peppermill is solid - although they took their chili-cheese omelette off the menu, which is unfortunate. Sparks Nugget used to be pretty good, but they've changed hands a couple of times, so I dunno. Grand Sierra is sort of meh.

There's a place called the gold-and-silver on 4th street that serves good old fashioned greasy hash browns/bacon/eggs/hash if you're looking for a nostalgic 1950's sort of experience - it's in a ****ty part of town, so if you're in there late st night you might get to see a couple of meth heads wrangling over the last biscuit, if that sort of thing is entertaining to you.

Hash house in Harrahs downtown I would assume is good. The one in Vegas is, but we never go downtown if we can help it.

If you're up for a breakfast buffet the Grand Sierra is pretty good. I tend to pig out and then want to sleep all day, so I don't go very often.

This makes me realize there aren't a lot of great options....sadly.

Warren Buffett has a free McDonald's for life card, but it's only good in Omaha. Apparently Bill Gates and Mitt Romney each have one that's good worldwide.

However, there are only two major confirmed stories of people in possession of cards granting them free, unlimited McDonald's anywhere in the country, or even the world.

While on the campaign trail in 2012, Mitt Romney told a story of how his father had a "little pink card" that awarded him free McDonald’s for life. McDonald’s confirmed that founder Ray Kroc had given Romney the card, but did not have any record of the reason for the gift. However, the chain noted that Kroc was known to informally gift these Lifetime "Be Our Guest" cards to various people throughout the years.

The other lucky recipient of a lifetime of free McDonald's — not a little pink card, but a bona fide Gold Card, according to the company — is Bill Gates. According to Warren Buffett, Gates' card works worldwide. Of course, it is unclear how often Gates stops by McDonald’s these days, after The Gates Foundation Asset Trust liquidated its position in the fast-food company in February 2015.

Had raising canes for the first time today b4 I left OF. Can confirm that it is bomb. I substituted the coleslaw for more fries in my Caniac order.

Loved everything, that canes sauce was really good but i would have enjoyed other options bbq, ranch etc.

Raising Canes is great value, and will do again. Almost got a Caniac for the trip back for tonight but will prolly just do taco bell and get supa gross upon my return to LA
