Particular my ass. Sounds like you've changed Bighurt.

I used to look up to you, now you don't even have the mettle to clear the 20 dollar bar. Malucci's dropping weight, I mean what the ****?

Long live Goose iyam. Long live Goose.

Bighurt - I love the passion and TR reports but $20 of Arby's is out of control. Would be interested in your age/height/weight/blood pressure levels as you just can't sustain this lol.

But saying that...carry on sir!

Stopped by the local Carl's to do some research. The Six Dollar Burger signage is gone. It's been replaced by generic "Cheeseburger" or "Burger" verbage.

When you get a cup of cheddar cheese sauce to dip them in.

I like waffle fries but I only seem to get 4 or 5 fries in a large order.

It's not specific enough to straighten out. Which curly fries are overrated? Why? It's like rolling in there with a "tacos suck" hot take.

I go back and forth on those. Good when they're crispy!

As far as fry expiration goes, waffles are at the top. Grub them up ASAP. Pro move to eat those on a dine-in order, unless you're like 2 mins or less from your destination.

Best fries are still a good ol' fashioned diner cut. The double fry method is the best with those.

Denny's style. There's no FF that has them, maybe that's what 5 guys are but I've only eaten there once.

+1 to good ol' fashioned diner cut fries being best.

I appreciate the wishes of longevity but I feel like I'm working towards the opposite. Could be worse though, I could be dieting!

Seasoned fries are terrible with one exception: Rally's.

I like the JITB ones but I've never had any other seasoned curly fries.

Not a fan of curly fries anymore. Hate that its the only option at most Arbys

Undercooked curlies are the worst

Depends where you are geographically. Where I used to live "Diner Fries" were Steak Fries. The thick ones. When I moved to the beach, "Diner Fries" were fresh cut potatoes into thicker shoestrings, but flash fried for 2 minutes to get the moisture out of the potato, then they are taken out of the grease for about 60-90 seconds, then back in the fryer for 60-90 seconds (Double Fry method). That's that super crisp, fresh potato on the inside type of fry. Also known as "Boardwalk Fries" if you are near a beach town.

So much this. And the spiral ones at Arby's seemed to be under cooked more often than not. I never have this issue with JITB curly fries tho, just Arby's.

Ya, not steak fries. I just used diner fries because they're the type served at a diner. I referenced the double fry so I'm definitely talking about the latter.

GIS confirms Boardwalk Fries. What I'm referencing usually didn't have the skins on the end though.

You seem to be the resident Church's Chicken expert here, so let me ask you this. Recently they have been running TV ads for chicken fried steak which actually looks pretty decent. Have you given it a try?

I haven't been to a Church's in > 20 years and would have to go out of my way to reach one, but I might do it if someone recommended the chicken fried steak. Keep in mind that my options for decent chicken fried steak are far worse than yours.

Tom, I'm in no way an expert on Church's. I live and die with Popeye's, with an occasion foray into grocery store chicken. That Church's visit was my first since the 90s.

Now the chicken fried steak talk reminds me of the old Grandy's franchise, they had good fast food chicken fried steak at a good price, but I think most of them went busto or changed their format.

this reminds me...good chicken fried steak and peppery sausage country gravy is freakin' fantastic.
thinking about it makes me want some right now with a couple of scrambled eggs and a big fat biscuit. talk about a breakfast that will last you through the day.

I'm heading into Popeyes for the first time. What is the pro order? I obviously want chicken.
