I got lunch from CFA yesterday - original chicken sandwich and 4 nuggets. Fine, I guess but underwhelming and not something that I'll ever crave. For me, CFA is a Hall of Fame breakfast place with their spicy chicken biscuit w/cheese, but I'm never excited about going there after 10:30am.

What does excite me? Flying through O'Hare and having the chance to get food at Rick Bayless's Tortas Frontera.

So great. I changed planes in O'Hare last week and got an awesome sandwich:

[I realize this looks like a took a picture with a potato, but I assure you it's delicious.] This sandwich is so good that it actually influences my flight plans - at the margin, I'll choose to connect through O'Hare so I can get one.

I look at the people eating at some other crappy airport place and just pity them.

I tried the new Taco Bell breakfast burrito this morning. I got the sausage one and it was cheesy and good, with fresh cilantro. Will definitely get again.

How much are they?

I don't think anyone here has argued that McDonald's breakfast pricing is anything other than, well let's remain PC here, umm, off.

Has anyone tried the Arby's Smokehouse Brisket sandwich? I tried the combo today and the sandwich was absolutely delicious but was super small. Considering I paid almost $10 for the combo I felt kind of ripped off regardless of how tasty it was, there were only like 4 slices of meat plus toppings.

Wawa meatball not as good as I remembered it.
Bojangles every bit as good as I remembered it.

Had FF outside of Jimmy John's for the first time in around ~6 months. Had two cheesy gordita crunches from the West Branch, MI location. Workers averaged about 250 pounds, chick ringing me up had an AR-15 tattood on her forearm. Food was good

I didnt think my hatred for Firehouse could get any higher but it reached a new level today. I go there already expecting it to be horrible but the free sub coupon i kinda had to, huge mistake. I order a steak and cheese sandwich which comes with cheese, onions, green peppers, mayo and mustard. I say no mayo no mustard and ask for extra onions/peppers. I get home and to no surprise i open up my sandwich and its literally just the meat and bun. No cheese no nothing just literally meat and a soggy ***** bun, i dont think ive ever been so furious over a FF screw up. Im getting angry again just thinking about it again lol. I double checked the receipt thinking maybe the girl thought i said no onions/peppers too...nope just total incompetence on all levels. Obviously the receipt said extra onion/peppers and no mayo/mustard. I took like 4 bites and gave about 85 percent of the sandwich to the cat and dog, they seemed put off too but managed to choke it down. NEVER AGAIN, hopefully the place burns down which would be an ironic twist for firehouse lol

I wrote a pretty nasty/explicit laced email to them complaining, not for anything free as i do not want but just to let them know just how horrible their company/food is.

Not sure how many Goodcents Delis there are around the country, but their pastas bowls are delicious.

They sound like real dicks, like they resented your coupon or something. That's way above and beyond normal slipshod ff service.

I guess Firehouse is prone to ****ing any order up with specific instructions. Climbed that tree a few times this year.

Coming from Firehouse, it's very alarming. They used to have a good rep here itt.

Never had a bad Firehouse experience. Think it's by far the best sandwich chain.

Don't think the lowly FF workers cared about him using a coupon either. Not like they are making commission. Way more likely it's just incompetence or not caring at this specific location.

We have goodcents here in Phoenix and it's one of my favorites. I put it just a notch above blimpies and the location I go to is literally across the street from subway and I chuckle at all the trolls eating subway instead of goodcents.

The sandwiches are solid with good meat, super fresh bread and ice cold fresh toppings....what more do you need?

I got the coupon and letter (apologizing) in the mail today, and it's not for a free large sandwich, it's for a Free Extra Value Meal.

Just got the $4 meal and a doublestack. So good. I never thought Wendys could win me over.

I threw the contents of a McDonald's cheeseburger minus bun onto a sausage McMuffin for the heck of it today. Good but not life-changing.

Yesterday, I drive up to my local Popeye's. There is always an ever-changing array of posters in their glass window displaying the deals they have. One has listed "Mon-Tue-Wed Special!". It is 2 pc, 1 side, biscuit, and drink. Pretty much the same as $5 big box, but substitute a side for a drink. Not bad, for $4.99. Save a penny too!

I go through the drive thru. "I'll have a Wednesday Special, please."
"We don't have any Wednesday specials."

Ugh. Fine, I just ordered the $5 big box. I contemplated telling them that they should probably take down the sign out front that displays the Wednesday special, but I didn't want my chicken dropped on the floor.


Tried a Wendy's while on the road at lunch today. Never been to this location. In the drive thru, tried to order the 4 for $4 meal. Apparently this is a frequently requested deal, as the girl had to read through a prepared statement...something like "Thank you for your interest in the $4 deal. Unfortunately this location does not participate in this promotion. May I interest you in one of our many $5 meal options?"

I said no thanks and drove away. I notice in all ads that prices and participation may vary, but I've never run into a non-airport place that actually didn't participate in national promos.

They emailed me back saying someone from that location (its on Rainbow for vegas people) would be getting in touch with me.... Now im just curious to see what they say more than anything and am expecting nothing but tip top customer service lolz, yeah right. Ill update when they do whatever

Didnt have anything to do with the coupon, the girl was actually quite nice. I dont know if whoever was making the sandwich had just got done free basing crack or what but it almost seems you would have to go out of your way to mess the order up that bad.
