the checkers/rallys frozen fries are also very good in the oven rather than the fryer

McDonald's bagel is terrible, but I do agree with the biscuit-is-dry sentiment. English muffin all day.

Just picked up two spicey chicken sandwiches from jitb with a 2/5 coupon.

They were spicier than wendys but a little dry and my stomach already hurts.

Would eat again.

Muffins all day. Biscuit is crumbly dry, which is no good if you're eating on the go. Bagels are only worse because they have no taste. Might as well have nothing instead of bagels.

muffin >>>>>mcgriddle>>>biscuit>>bagel

Biscuit haters need to try a CFA chicken biscuit before making any final decisions.

I've found variance to be really high with McDs biscuits, based I think on region. A friend whose dad owned a few franchises in SC said they made all their biscuits in-store every morning, and that they were really good. I'm pretty sure the ones I got in VA were frozen though, and I always thought they were dry and crappy and I greatly preferred any other breakfast sandwich bread option.

I thought everyone was commenting only on McD's biscuits. I love good biscuits!

Every so often, I'll get one that is just saturated with fat/oil, and it's just disgusting even for McDs. It's a shame. A good bacon/egg/cheese biscuit is delicious.

Yeah, the conversation was specifically about Donald's biscuits. Obviously other places have better offerings.

SirO, please tell me you break those oval hash browns in two and put at least half on your sausage biscuit sandwich. That's the way I enjoy my GOAT egg mc muffin. Sometimes I'll put the other half in the side order of a sausage burrito.

Somewhat related question: the screen cap of the all day McD's breakfast menu had a chorizo breakfast burrito. where are these found? I've never heard of such a thing.

Oh, I've been known to put half of the hashbrown on my sausage Mcmuffin with egg. The end result is quite a beast of a breakfast sandwich, kind of bogs you down for about an hour and a half.

I'll have to look for those hashbrown patties in the store. When I make hashbrowns I've recently been using the ones from Costco that come in what looks like a little milk carton. You add hot water to it for like 10 minutes then fry them up.

And I had no idea McDonalds sold bagels.

For those who shop, Ore-Ida also makes frozen hash brown patties.

Total aside: A cafe in my town actually has SPAM & eggs on their menu

thank you for pretending to take me seriously.

fwiw, fried spam is pretty tasty with breakfast (this comes from someone that hasn't had it in probably a decade).

I almost made some variant of the same comment RedYes

I loved spam as a kid finished with a little bbq sauce in the skillet

Tried it years later and it's one of those kid taste things

I haven't tried the Chorizo spam, but have sampled all others. Varied results, tastewise.

BigHurt said it was spicier than the one Wendy's Spicy Chicken sandwich he's ever bought, and didn't like

I'm guessing they screwed up his order and didn't give him a spicy at Wendy's but instead a homestyle or whatever they call it

You could be right. However I'll never find out, unless they give me free fries and drink with it.

At the very least an ongoing power ranking poll for chains.

McDonalds breakfast is soooo good. Bacon egg cheese biscuit elite. 2/3.50 sausage egg mc muffins elite. Big breakfast w/hot cakes elite (this I know not everyone agrees with but that is value town and tasty). I like mc griddles but I rarely stray from these items

This weekend, McD's is giving a free drink with their premium chicken sandwiches.

Not sure what the buttermilk chicken sandwich costs but it has to be worth it to upgrade to the chicken clubhouse which is that sandwich plus bacon, carmelized onions, and Big Mac sauce instead of mayo.

I've never been a big fan of McDonald's bacon. I always choose sausage over it for any breakfast sandwich. Actually I don't know if I've gone to McD's in a year or so except for the random breakfast.

Believe they've changed the bacon they use in the not too distant past, the bacon on the clubhouse is super crispy and hard to dislike.
