got papa johns (50% off): large pie grilled chicken and roma tomatoes with Ranch sauce.

2nd time ive got this, first time was light ranch.

Overall pretty good - ranch sauce the tipping point for me to order from them (besides it being 50% off - that was the starting point).

If you stand in the meat section at the grocery store long enough, you start to get mad at turkeys. There's turkey ham, turkey bologna, turkey pastrami. Somebody needs to tell the turkey, "Man, just be yourself."

Volcano quesarito has a real chance to be the best item ever served at taco bell

Thrashers fries are the best. Vinegar is your only option. No ketchup. It's funny because nearby pizza places etc all overcharge for ketchup because they know people just want them for those delicious fries. I don't "do" ketchup so I think it's awesome.

On a quasi - related note, has anyone been to a Boardwalk Fries that served burgers? Basically, Boardwalk Fries got pissed that 5 guys "stole" their fries (even though Boardwalk Fries does a really crappy job of replicating Thrashers) so Boardwalk Fries tried to steal 5 guys burgers. Basically the same menu. 5 guys >>>>>>>> Boardwalk.

5 guys stole the idea of just overflowing the fries from Thrashers. They're both from the same region.

Popeyes has that Bonafide Big Box back, good value. 5 bucks for 2 pieces or 3 tenders, 2 sides, and a biscuit. They have good sides.

Time to put mcchicken patties on the mcgriddles!

In somewhat related news, I used my free fry and drink coupon for the buttermilk crispy chicken. The sandwich was decent, actually had more spice than the one time I tried Wendy's' spicy chicken. However, I will never pay ~$5 for either one of them.

I scored a free sandwich today at McDonald's when the sands in the hourglass slipped away like the days of our lives. It was the first time I had ever received it.

All modern FF places stole or borrowed from other joints. Smashburger isn't that much different than Fatburger. Shake Shack isn't doing anything new except designer beef.

Timing was key for 5G - the market needed simple high end burger concept that was well run and they exploded.

Ohh, I totally agree. I just think part of the reason I'm such a big fan of 5 Guys is because their fries remind of being little at the beach grubbing on Thrasher's fries.

Those fries look amazing.

I've been to a Boardwalk with Burgers in VA outside of DC - it was pretty good. IIRC they had a few more options than 5G - maybe different types of cheese, different types of bun. I think they had a chicken sandwich option too. Solid option. Not better than 5G, but solid.

That's a very good deal for Popeyes. I feel like a 3 strip with one side and a biscuit is normally like $6, and since they charge $2-$2.50 for individual sides you're up to $9 for that normally. I think, it's been a year or two since I've been to one.

Those fries remind me of Penn Station although the
large is not near that big there.
