El D,

All of those are good. I am at WB right now and this one has the green chile double which is elite if available.

Goose,

That sounds totally absurd at first, but actually I guess it's pretty reasonable. I'd do it if I could do it with Malucci or BH around to polish off all the sandwiches. But I'd feel too bad wasting all that food like that to be able to do it otherwise.

If you're against wasting food, then get with the spirit of the thread and TEST YOUR LIMITS.

My first and only (unfortunately) time at CFA, I basically ordered the whole menu planning on doing this. Actually ended up eating all the food it was so good!

I did the habanero and ghost pepper grillers yesterday with no chips and double meat. Also got a double decker taco. Whole order less than $5 and the grillers were a good deal for $1.60 each (no sales tax in OR). The ghost pepper one was hot, I can't think of any fast food item that is anywhere near that hot off the top of my head.

El D,

I haven't there in ages but Smokey John's was decent bbq if you're in the mood for that. Not the greatest but still pretty damn solid and its on Mockingbird Lane like 2 minutes away from the airport.

Fly, temp:

Thx for the recs, but the airport is really my only unscheduled time this trip.

I've been promised some good BBQ, that better happen.

For breakfast today, sausage egg and cheese mcgriddles combo with large iced coffee and a sausage biscuit.

Just now, 20pc McNuggets, double cheese and small fry, large drink, plus sales tax, $6.51! Turns out they didn't charge me for the drink, but the 20pc was $3.49!

I feel like a POS.

20 pc 3.49? Standard right now?

Sir, kinda forgot about the old double decker taco. Great item that can feature substantial sauce. Lava on that would be outstanding, but w/current options you have to experiment.

Not sure what the cost is nowadays, but it was a decent fill for decent price when introduced.

What the hell? Is nobody eating fast food today?

I went to 7-11 to get a cold soda pop, and today and tomorrow they have 1/4 lb hot dogs for $1. They looked ****ing huge. I didn't get any as I had other food ideas, but I will probably go back later.

I dig the double decker taco. I, too, had kind of forgotten about it. I think it was $1.69, so only $0.50 more than a regular taco and feels quite a bit more substantial.

double-deckers are legit

I would stay away from 7-11 hot dogs

Went to Bob Evans because the line at Denny's was out the door and there was no parking. It was my first ever trip to Bob Evans. I got the Rise and Shine. 2 eggs over easy, the shredded hash brown, sausage, 2 pieces of bread and an orange juice. It was actually pretty good. I think they're trying to re-brand or something. They were stressing "farm fresh" ingredients. The customer service was top notch, they had a nice little bakery type thing where you pay and the muffins and stuff all looked very fresh.

My mom got the sausage gravy breakfast which came with a couple biscuits and she said it was good (she might have just been saying that because she's not one to complain about trivial things like breakfast at bob evans).

I would definitely go back and drive the extra 2 minutes past Denny's to do so.

Bob Evans is pretty meh imo, like pwns said. But yeah it is better than Denny's.

And they have been doing the "farm fresh" thing for years now. What does that slogan even mean though?

I enjoyed Bob Evans when I was in VA working. They had some open face biscuit when I was there. Biscuit/gravy with sausage and eggs on top of the biscuit. Side of bacon

Bob Evans sounds like the Cracker Barrel of the East.

Bob is more like the Denny's. It's generally okay but nothing special, at least a half step down from Cracker Barrel imo.

Yesterday I afternoon I went to Popeye's for the first time. After running errands with the gf, we decided to pick up something on the way home for a late lunch. I'd seen the ads for the Rip'n Chicken deal, looked like a tasty deal for 5 bucks, so I took a slight detour home and stopped at a Popeye's that is on the wrong side of the tracks, which is apparently true of all of them. It was 3pm, but for some reason the drive through line ran out of the parking lot and down the block, and I saw people parking across the street to go in. A spot opened up just as I was about to abort and keep driving, so I said **** it, I'm here, so I pulled in and parked. Inside was packed shoulder to shoulder, but the order "line" moved very quickly. The majority of the people were waiting for their food, based on comments when they called out number 39, such as "39? I'm waiting for 23, where's my food?!?" The employees were all yelling at each other and freaking out. When I tried to order, the cashier informed me that they did not have Rip'n Chicken. I asked if it was no longer on the menu or if they were out, but she only knew that they didn't have it at that moment. I took that opportunity to leave, if not for that break I would have stupidly ordered and been there for hours waiting. Stopped instead at a KFC near the house and got a $5 fill-up, which was pretty good and a great value.

Cliffs: went to Popeye's for first time, didn't get food, complete fail.
