Granted, maybe a hot dog is still less food than all the fries they give you. Still seems like too much food.

It's def a decent amount of food but the hot dogs aren't THAT big. Probably a little thicker than your average hot dog. Definitely less food than a burger and a small fries. I'm also not a person that feels obligated to eat everything served to me and usually eat the burger there, take couple bits of the hot dog, and eat the rest on my walk home or when I get home (about a 15 minute walk).

Edit...and their hot dogs are elite. The cheese dog is just the standard burger cheese but I love me some cheese and always get the cheese dog. I will try the bacon and cheese hot dog someday. Someday.

There was a 5 Guys in my neighborhood for about 5 minutes. I managed to go once and got a hamburger and a hot dog and the hot dog was much, much better. Was basically a DC half-smoke style and was one of the better things I've had at a ff chain.

I also have heard great things about 5G hot dogs.

I got a spicy chicken sandwich from Carl's Jr. today and was surprised by how big it was, especially given it cost $1.29. Solid!

Am I incorrect in remembering that 5G hot dogs are just Hebrew national hot dogs?

Exactly very good quality but no big deal when you live in the NYC area. Usually grilled not steamed or boiled. Mustard only maybe some kraut.

A little googling suggests that you are correct. I retract the half-smoke claim, but still contend they are better than the burgers.

went to CJs this morning for the first time in several months. showed up around 10am with the intention to order breakfast, but the 3fitty bro in line ahead of me ordering two thick burgers and an oreo shake threw me off for a second, but i quickly gathered my composure. ordered a bacon egg cheese biscuit and small hash browns only to be asked if i wanted two of the same sandwich for $0.49 more (2 for $3). how can i turn that down?

probably a result of showing up close to the end of breakfast, but everything was ok but not as good as i've had when getting there early morning when things are still fresh.

another example of the 'isn't there something close that's better and cheaper' logic. believe it or not, not every geographic location in the whole wide world has a pizza place right around the corner selling $2 slices. perhaps you should eventually travel outside the city limits of your home town.

and no, i'm not sticking up for subway or their 'pizza'.

Yep, had those cheese filled hot dogs as a kid also. Maybe twice, they were horrible. Never had a bad Costco hot dog, maybe because for some reason I'm so damn hungry every time I'm there.
