you wont find a carls jr next to a hardees or vice versa. They were two seperate companies once upon a time but carls jr bought them and they slowly merged into one nationwide company.

Yeah, that’s what I said. I can understand if they have two brands in the same area to appear as “competition,” but they don’t do that with Hardee’s/Carl’s. Therefore, it seems silly to have different brands for the same thing— different advertisements, different store designs, branded condiments and cups, et cetera. You’d think that would cost more, but I guess it’s working out for them.

Sorry if I missed this earlier ITT. Pringles has rolled out a Wendy's Spicy Chicken flavored chip (it's not too bad, little bit of heat.) Underneath the foil cover is a code which you can upload into the app for an offer for a free spicy chicken w/ purchase. This is market dependent but a can of Pringles goes for around $2 so decent value. If you're feeling dangerous I suppose you could always go and rip off all the foil containers to secure all the offers! That being said, not sure if you're limited to just one offer per user. I'm willing to bet there is a 2+2'er out there who is willing to test the limits for us.

Was grabbing GCDS his dbl old school chickens at BK and saw a free chicken in the Ricks app so grabbed a McDouble and a Spicy Chicken

It looks fine, but it was like chewy/bouncy. I'll speculate on that being chicken quality, but not a big fan. McDouble for 2.19 meh.

Except that we had some Hardees locations out west. It was REALLY good, one of my favorite places. They closed up my beloved Hardees, and Carl's Jr is not nearly as good.

I recall hitting a Hardee's somewhere in Montana (Butte or Bozeman, maybe) in the 90's thinking I wish we had these in Az.

I mentioned earlier ITT that those Whataburg Rings were top notch. Adding gravy? Outstanding! I _will_ be doing this, soon. Thanks BH for that!

Oh really? I didn’t know that but i grew up on the east coast. I remember like Hardee’s better than CJs as well but I feel like last time I had Hardee’s I was like 10 yo lol.

CJs is solidly mediocre for me, I don’t like their fries but I crave a nice double western from time to time

"Cava" is a fairly new Mediterranean chain with 88 locations on the east coast, and in Texas and CA

they make eating healthy a little bit exciting

first you get a bowl either of salad or rice or pita

then you can choose and add up to 3 different kinds of hummus or dips - free with your bowl

then you choose a protein - beef, lamb, chicken or falafels

then you can choose from about 11 different veggies - comes free with your bowl

then you add a dressing

it all comes to about $12.00 - for me it's big enough for 2 meals

I like it quite a bit

Back in Las Vegas now, back to the same fast food grind. That I love. Lol.

En route to the airport we went to Gus' world famous fried chicken house.

Cool little place. The chicken looks a little overdone, but it was quite juicy and has a nice spicy flavor. The sides were both quite large, the mac cheesy AF. The fried green tomatoes were awesome! Never had them before. I dropped some Louisiana hot sauce into ranch.

I only got two pieces and no pie because I was already feeling shitty in the guts and was about to get on a plane.
