Im in Detroit and waited 30 minutes for 4 sliders with Fries in the lobby. I thought about a lobby soda bomb but there were people in there way harder than me who were just as pissed with their wait.

My disappointment is immeasurable.

I must be real fortunate with my neighborhood Popeye's. Wait never seems disproportionate to the number of cars, and don't think they've ever screwed up my order.


Today I ordered a sandwich from the wrong Jimmy Johns location. Had to pay twice to get one sandwich ugh.

Some people get good BKs, others get good Popeye's. Only God's chosen are blessed with both.

Continuing on my chicken sandwich tour, I had the Carl's Jr Crispy Chicken sandwich this afternoon.

For the price of $6, this sandwich is a ripoff. I would put it at the size of a CFA sandwich. I ate it so fast that I missed grabbing a picture. With that said, I thought it had decent flavor. Still doesn't make up for the size and price.

I would probably not get it again.

It's super easy to do this with the Wendy's app. I made the drive.

It's also easy in the Starbucks app however most managers will give you the drink anyway.

Went to my first movie theater since the plague today, and decided to throw value to the wind and treat myself to a 5G lunch next door before the show. Probably my first 5G in 2 years, and it was so freaking delicious. Cheeseburger with mayo/a1/grilled mushroom/grilled onion/grilled jala/LTP - it was divine. Every bite was a savory overload. Small cajun fries were piping hot, and vanilla barqs from the freestyle machine was sweet and crisp. I ****ing loved this meal.

And yet... $18.48 after tax, before adding a tip. I just... can't bring myself to pay these prices any more than once a year. Maybe once the house is paid off and the kid is through college (2037 is gonna be a banger!).

My chicken sandwich tour brought me to Chili's tonight. The sandwich is part of the $10 deals but with a $3 upcharge. However, if you are a member of Chili's rewards club, they have a $3 discount on the deal.

The sandwich is pretty big and not bad value when $10 gets you an appetizer, sandwich, fries and drink. I really liked the honey mustard sauce. It also reminded me of S'awesome sauce from Wendy's.

Your post reminded me I was a big fan of the Carl's Southwest grilled chicken sandwich that they sold 25 years ago (lol). I would recommend the sandwich to friends and they all groaned over the $2.50 price tag.

It had green chilis and a southwest sauce. I miss it a little.

Well I had my 2nd Ch'King and I DELUXED IT UP today for lunch.

It was quite underwhelming and not anywhere nearly as good as my first sandwich (which I was very happy with). I used 1,000 of my Rewards points so I didn't pay for it so at least it wasn't like I shelled out money for it.

Had the undisputed KING today. Half the chicken was 2" thick.

No - I've been to 4-5 different Popeyes near me (Washington D.C. area) and every single one is a disaster about half the time I go. People with wrong orders, people coming back to complain about their orders, super long wait times.

The worst one is owned by this old guy who I will routinely see make and eat chicken sandwiches from the biscuits + chicken right in front of customers without wearing gloves. Guy gives zero ****s about anything - including, apparently, how efficiently his restaurant is running.
