b. If I'm going to finish it the next day I always just leave it out... fried chicken, pizza, etc.

I’ve never heard of leftover fried chicken. Is that a thing that can happen?

Apparently if you're worried it'll turn your stool to mush while you sleep it is.

The only time I'd reconsider eating something based on its later ass effects is spicy food, especially if I hadn't had any recently.

Tip: Put your leftover Dominos in a ziploc bag. This allowed me to get amazing reheated stovetop pizza. For years I just chucked the box in the fridge.

I also don't bother preheating air fryers. 10 minutes give or take are good to bring any fried food back to life.

Tried Rick's spicy nuggs yesterday. Other than being a reddish/orange color and having terrible texture I couldn't taste any difference from the regular. Pass on those. The mighty sauce was actually spicy which surprised me so that gets a thumbs up. Both fries that came free with the original nuggs were cold, limp and terrible. The fries are the only reason to go Rick's so it's always extra disappointing every time that happens.

Not getting enough fried chicken to have leftovers is a rookie mistake. Cold fried chicken is like a gift. The perfect snack. If the fried chicken is good warm, it's just as good, in a different way, cold from the fridge.

we've never preheated the air fryer. frozen tots at 400 for 5 min, flip, 4 min and frozen rings at 400 for 5 min no flip are gamechangers.

Sounds like the first time I tried them. Sad stuff.

I snapped a 24 hour eating drought with a doublestack 444, 2nd order of fries and nuggets, and a Pretzel Pub burger, which was excellent. Fantastic meal! Only regret is I forgot to size up the Doctor!

I have put leftover pizza in a ziplock bag for years, much better than loleaving the box in the fridge obviously.

Had a full scale McD’s binge. Buttermilk chicken was very meh. QPC w Bacon was really tasty, enjoyed it a lot. Best QPC I’ve had since they changed the patty whenever it was they did that. Malucci Mac which was great as always. And the spicy nuggets which were fresh and tasty, liked they spice and flavor. They had no mighty sauce, but the fries were fresh and good and so was the vanilla shake.

Really excellent McD’s job.

Geez, after Malucci and Bighurt, my girlie meal seems pretty weak. I went to Burger King and had a $1 Whopper (Whopper Wednesday's!!!) and a $1 spicy 8 piece nuggets. Both hit the spot.

BTW, today was the first day in 6 months that the Burger King dining room was open.

The $1 8 piece BK nugs are my favorite FF value right now. BK varies a lot by location, but if you get a good one, the nuggets are really good.

C'mon son, that's like not pre-heating an oven. Rookie mistake stuff.

I can only speak to my own experience, but preheating isn’t going to make much of a difference with my air fryer. for example, if I’m making a pound of wings, any hot air is going to dissipate in the amount of time it takes me to arrange the wings in the basket after preheating, and the basket is so thin any residual heat is going to be cancelled by loading one pound of room temp wing meat on top of it. I’m not working with cast iron here and I have the type of fryer where the basket is the door, not one that’s like a toaster oven.

Do you coat your AF wings with baking powder or flour Red? or just fry em nude? I need to work on my strategy.

You should probably wear pants to avoid burns.

I am not a fan of the regular McChicken.

Gives Mc-'s a bad name.

The mcchicken is the worst FF sandwich out there

Wendy's Crispy Chicken sandwich is significantly worse than the McChicken

spouse and i typically do this and it's so simple and so delicious we haven't been motivated to change. before cooking i typically put out a large sheet of aluminum foil on the counter and spread the wings out, dry them off on both sides, season, and let them get closer to room temp. i let them sit about an hour

lay out flat & pat dry with paper towels. liberal maldon salt and cracked black pepper on both sides and a dusting of garlic powder. no oil, nothing else.

couldn't fit it all in the air fryer basket so did two batches. the first batch was skin side down at 380* for 10 minutes then flipped skin side up at 400* for 7 minutes. the skins were nice and crisp but the meat was over. while we demolished the first batch the second batch went for 8 minutes at 380* and 7 minutes at 400*. second batch turned out much better...skin was still very crisp and the meat was still juicy.

first pic is still in the basket right after cooking, second pic includes a drizzle of fire on the mountain hot wing sauce.

Kenji posted this video a few weeks ago. haven't tried (mainly because it's in the oven and not the air fryer) but the results look to be fantastic.

head over to the Cooking a Good Everthing Else thread and search for wings. there are lots of other great examples floating around that place.

Thanks Red

Had a double Wendy's pretzel burger with free bacon pub fries via the app. The beefs were overcooked but the burger was good anyway. Love that mustard they used. Fries were meh, wouldn't pay for them.

Local ff joint called Ben's Burgers, this is the Ben Special - double cheeseburger with bacon and chili cheese fries. Also had their chicken sandwich and a large onion rings, everything was A+ besides the slow service but I wasn't going anywhere. Delicious but I'm hurting

Got a free room at Flamingo tonight (lol) and was walking around in desperate search of something to eat. Google said something about the pizza place in the food court being open until 4. Well ok, I don't want to go far. Well I get there (11:41pm) and only Johnny Rockets appears open. I go to take my place at the end of a decent sized line, and an employee tells me they're closed. Blaaaah. I wonder aimlessly and eventually learn that the entirety of the ****ing Flamingo property is unwilling to serve me hot food before midnight. Rage!

Then a I was struck by a fiiiine idea! (Bubba did have a fun idea) I'll meander out a bit into the Linq and have In N Out. There was about a dozen people lined up outside building, and I still had my food in under 20 minutes. Animalized fries and dub dub, and FAT ****ing Dr. Pepper! Under $13 after tax, which felt pretty good considering it's center strip.

A nice, saving cherry on top of an otherwise shitty day.

God bless the cheeseburger.

Btw, great wings Red! Do you frequent Fire on the Mountain? I've gone a few times after my most recent Blazer games, I love the place.
