Tried the new Steak and Eggs burrito at Jack in the Box. Worth the money, but seemed a little smaller than the Grande Sausage or Meat Lovers burritos (all are the same price). Steak was the tender steak from the Prime Rib Cheesesteak they had many months ago.

This is what stopped me going there when I lived in the NW. The quality was better than Taco Bell, but nowhere near the premium they charged for the slight quality upgrade.

Im unsure how to proceed. (Tldr, im high and spent 35 minutes on this)

The day started by going through a Wendys that has been fairly good overall after about ten visits en route to work. BOGO spicy chickens again, even though I dont particularly like them, Im so desperate for a lightning strike of rungood in one those sandwiches. (I stopped at 7-11 first and got a 79c Big Gulp of Mt Dew.) And it seems like that coupon is always available so Im a slave to it. Anyways, I get to the window where Im informed that they only have one spicy chicken. Im kinda confused, its 3pm. She must notice my ****ing puzzlement because she asks if you would like one homestyle chicken instead, or can I wait 7 minutes for two fresh ones. Im not in a hurry so I elect to wait for fresh ones and pull into nearby stall. That doesnt sit particularly well, they've just got spicy chickens made and laying around? Eventually they show up, and they gave me the not fresh one anyway, judging by how much hotter the 2nd was in comparison. And even the 2nd one just kinda sucked. $5.60 for the BOGO when I could get two far superior BK spicy chickens for $6.60. What the hell am I doing? No more!

And then on break at work i intend to get a doublestack meal at the location thats seemingly spiraling out of control lately. I park my car for work in the same parking lot so its too easy to go to, but Im legit thinking of quitting that Wendys.

I pull up and there's a line, but Im right behind the person at the menu board. Seventeen cock**** minutes later (this 3-4 minute per car average has been consisitent lately) Ive ordered and am at the window. I see a bag of food sitting there, I presume is mine. The cashier is at the station doing I dont know what. More than a minute later she finally opens the window and asks if i have the doublestack sub chili. Yup. One minute for my card to process. Then she pours me a small ****ing Dr. Pepper! I told her the order was medium. She takes it back. And then an older dude I presume was the manager hands me a medium cup that has ice from the bottom to the ****ing lid. As he hands me the ****ing bag that Ive been looking at on the counter since I pulled up, I let him know about the bull**** ice. And declined his request to exchange, Ive got six minutes until I have to be at the ****ing blackjack table!

I park and examine the bag, Im gonna pour some chili in my ass first. No spoon. Not shocked. The nuggets are cold rubber. Well maybe a decent doublestack can salvage the situation. I need beef! What do i open but a cold goddamn JBC. The bottom bun is hard. Un****ingreal, I dont take one bite of any of it and im tilting balls. I decide to spend the last 3 minutes of my break calling that Wendys and letting them know exactly what i thought of their operation. I told the manager I just wanted to let him know what a ****ty experience it was and has been. Im not yelling but I am heated, (lol) he seems flustered as **** (understandable) but tells me he understands and "this location has been going this way a month/s". Bring in the receipt and write his name on it and I can eat whatever I want! I told him I don't really care about that and just had to let him know but I appreciated his time. He seemed genuinely surprised and calmed to hear that so im glad I threw it in.

I go back to work and am on serious life tilt. Im dealing to a regular couple that are annoying as **** to deal to, and Im really in the mood to let them know what i think. **** it all! But I manage to not do so. 2 hours later I was off and considered going and just having a ****ing doublestack, chili, and FFDP on old Donald, but decided I didn't want to deal with it, it would be a bull**** process at that place. So yeah, after this long winded ramble, I think Im done with them! Which really sucks because a $4 meal is such an excellent break time snack.

Used a receipt coupon at Popeye's yesterday, 2 dollars for a large drink and you get free 2-piece w biscuit. I go breast and wing ofc, awesome as always. I had one of their Albanian immigrant ladies I've discussed before working the window, her English was spotty and I had to pull around to clear things up, but she was good-spirited and it ended happily with some delicious fried chicken.

wendy's seems to allot their franchise owners a huge amount of freedom. my regular stop was using smaller chicken patties for their promos, doesn't honor item switch-outs on the 4 for $4, has 2.59 doublestacks, and legit told me they would honor my coupon one time and i'd have to print them in the future.

My Wendy's literally 2 blocks from me doesn't honor app deals at all. They're dead to me. ****ing dead.

Forcing someone to eat their french fries is ****ing bull****.

I went to my local Raising Canes for lunch. That place just prints money. At 3pm on a Sunday, the parking lot is full, drive thru is jammed and all the inside seats are taken. Week after week...

They also raised the price of Canes sauce to 37 cents.

And yes, it was delicious. Damn them!

In Austin, there’s a Canes that is right next to, 50 feet away from chick fila. They’re both busy as **** compared to other places, but cfa crushes them because Canes is just overrated chicken fingers. Oh, and there are multiple cfas in walking distance less than a mile away, at buildings on UT campus.

With Wendys off the table, I went to A&W/KFC, first time in several months at least.

I got a 3pc tender Hot Honey basket. All pretty meh. I also got a double Papa Burger and onion ring combo with A&W root beer. The burger was excellent and the onions were really good. They came with a Spicy Papa sauce that was very nice. Will be getting again, next time saving $6 on the KFC curiosity.

theres a kfc here that we rarely rarely go to (maybe once a year) and it just seems confusing and expensive with all the combos and whatnot they make you order. like i just want a couple pieces of chicken, not some biscuit im not going to eat with every one. i think last time we spent almost $30 ordering way too much, it was ok but not worth it

kfc needs to bring back the buffet to all locations!

KFC isn't very good, but I just love gravy with fried chicken and they're the only spot that gives you a cup of it.
