The $1 chicken quesadilla at Del Taco is vastly better than the TB one, I guess like >>> better. TB: limp (often moist) tortilla smelling vaguely of bleach, some kind of stringy rehydrated chicken meat, cheese not close to being melted and sometimes cold. DT: crisp and toasted tortilla with brisk roast scent, meaty chicken breast chunks, cheese perfectly melted and wrapped around quesadilla ingredients.

SO, you really gotta expand your TB experience outside of PDX east.
i'm not saying Del Taco isn't better, but all of your TB reports read like the food line employees wash their hands in mop water.

Tried out the new and improved QP, was super salty. Also, my fries were way undercooked and limp. I don’t know why I go to this McDonalds, they’re just as bad as the Portland TB. Will have to go to one of the vastly superior McDonalds next time I feel like taking them to value town on the app and give it a fair shake

Steak and Shake is probably the best value in FF when you factor in quality. I just got the app the other day to stream line the process. Double steakburger w/ fries + a cup of chilli for $5.24+ tax

Wendy’s trip...turned the Buffalo chicken ranch into a double, was real meh. Dave’s Double And spicy chicken were great. And the bastards forgot my JBC, which is ultra upsetting. Wendy’s fries I’ve found are most often under salted.

Waffle House binge late last night:

Steak and eggs, double pecan waffle, then they accidentally made an extra hash brown bowl and so I ate that too. Added it up to around 2500 calories and I am still stuffed to the rafters this morning.

1. Is it me or does that DQPC look really small, almost like a slider, in that pic? That or BH is the size of andre the giant. ('grats on the bonus cheese.)

2. I am not surprised that a del taco quesadilla >> TB quesadilla, because that comparison generally holds true across items. The TB quesadilla does include delicious creamy jalapeno sauce though, which often has me ordering the ridiculously priced $4 item.

3. Malucci - you were going double chicken sandwich, dave's double, spicy fried chicken, JBC and fries for one meal? That is quite the feast, tip 'o the cap.

4. Damn I wish we had waffle house. Per wafflehouse.com the closes WH to Seattle is in Fort Collins CO, 984.7 miles away

stopped for coffee early this morning on the way to play golf and the Baja Fresh next door had a window poster advertising their new chicken torta. i though to myself a FF place is finally trying to fill the torta void in the market. haven't tried it yet, but i'm not sure i will after digging up a photo online.

I miss this thread.

I went to JITB tonight and got

- Bacon & Egg Chicken sandwich
- SAUCED & LOADED FRIES - CARNE ASADA

Sandwich - super good as usual. Egg and chicken is a surprising and delicious combo.

Fries - good but the cheese was weird. I'm not a huge fan of fries generally, so I eat lots of 'non-fry' stuff and have a bunch of fries left over. The cheese sauce was a little weird but the carne was good and the guac was too. Would get again, $3 is a bargain.

I got the carne asada fries last night. The first time I got the chorizo fries but there was only real cheese. The carne asada fries had real cheese and the cheese sauce. I agree, a little weird but still good. Im going to have to get that bacon and egg chicken sandwich next time. Totally missed that.

Went on vacation to Myrtle Beach so got to check out three fast food spots for the first time:

Cook Out - $5.25 for a Tray (I think it's under $5 in a lot of places but they can get away with charging more in MB). I didn't consult the thread so didn't know optimal order so I went with a spicy chicken sandwich, hushpuppies, a chicken quesadilla, and drink. Also got a bacon cheese dog on the side for $2.

All of the food was excellent. Probably one of the best ff experiences I've ever had. Nothing that totally blew me away, but everything was solidly above average. I ended up going back one night for a milkshake which was also solid. I was planning on going back one more time for another meal but didn't get a chance. Wish I took some pics.


Zaxby's - Another very solid meal. tbh I don't remember this meal too well but I remember being perfectly fine with it. I believe I just got chicken fingers and fries. I remember the dipping sauce being good.


Bojangles - Went here for breakfast. Got the chicken biscuit. While not as good as Chick-Fil-A's version, still solid. I messed up here by not getting a CFA sauce-like condiment to smother on the sandwich. However, I also got a separate biscuit with just white gravy, and smothered the chicken biscuit with the leftover gravy from that. I also got a cinnamon roll with this order. Again, quite satisfactory.

Ordered the qpc deluxe without salt

Perfect, avoided the extra saltiness i despise and got my tomato and lettuce at no upcharge

Went buck nutty at Jack last night. Bacon buttery Jack was dry...decent flavor, but dry. Worst one I ever had. Chicken egg English muffin thing was very good, Star of the show. Spicy chicken Club was just not good, the chicken patty wasn’t fresh like the chicken egg one was. Bacon ranch and nacho monster taco were both awful...made me miss the regular tacos. And carne asada fries were fresh and piping hot...but they weren’t really good...the asada was decent for a FF place...but just not really that good despite an unreal amount of freshness.

All in all this reminded me why it is that I never go to Jack. But I do definitely recommend that chicken egg sumbitch.
