At least you have until September 30th!

My prior QPC was actually cooked to medium with a bit of pink. Today's was done normally but I detected a bit of extra peppery flavor.

Two orders, two deals: $1 qpc, then did a small fry + $1 large soda (no $1 any size drinks in Seattle).

No issues whatsoever with the ordering process. Around $3 out the door total

It also is crazy that the Seattle MCD owners aren't revolting over this deal. Gonna see about adding the big mac to the rotation - haven't tried any chicken burgers using the deal yet.

QPC QPC BIG MAC QPC CHICKEN QPC QPC BIG MAC may be my next rotation

Golden Krust with their patties is probably the closest thing to an empanada at a chain, but it does seem like a full fledged empanada chain with good marketing should work. I know people who haven't had empanadas, but who has actually had one and not liked it?!

A good empanada is ****ing great.

It's like the ****in Catalina Wine Mixer in food form.

If a franchise started selling them I would become their spokesperson for 4/5ths commish.

Empanada side note, for anyone in the LA area, there is a farmer's market on Sundays in Studio City and there is an empanada stand there that I have become absolutely addicted to. Like for real. I HAVE to go get a few every single Sunday, no matter what.

And probably on four separate occasions, a person standing in line near me has started a convo with me asking if I've ever had these and when I reply yes, they look around as if preparing to tell me a secret, and then very intensely say something to the effect of "They're like ridiculously good, aren't they?"

And there is a moment of a quiet, shared understanding that we have stumbled upon something magnificent, possibly even perfect. We don't understand it, and our lack of ability to grasp just why they're so ****ing good just adds to their mystique. Like, there's no rational reason why they should be so good. I've had plenty of empanadas in my life and they tend to have a pretty high floor and ceiling, but never transcendently good like these are.

I recommend the mushroom, the spinach, and the ground beef. I'll take pics next time.

This Sunday marks the fourth Sunday in a row that I've been out of town and I am filled with the sad.

Big,

This is from a couple weeks ago. Gonna go back this weekend. I ****ing love empanadas.

Cherry and banana/dulce de leche dessert empanadas. Don’t remember what I had for savory that trip, but the classic Argentinian ground beef is my favorite.

We have a bunch of little empanada places like this in sf, but this discussion has me thinking it really is kinda crazy there’s not an empanada fast food chain.

So you order the one sandwich for $1, pay, and then tell them, "And for my next order..."? Or do you go to the back of the line or drive through the drive-thru again or something? Seems weird to me no matter how it's done, but very possible I'm overthinking it.

Steve,

It’s a delicious flaky hand pie that can be either savory or sweet. You know, just like you can have a turkey pot pie or an apple pie.

I don’t care for that place’s menu, it’s unfocused. The winning fast food formula is to do one thing very well. Our place would only sell empanadas and Dr. Pepper.

Caramel Apple Empanda from Taco Bell is holding down the throne in a class of its own. I need a Yum Brands plug so I can buy those by the box.

Those look so good.

I realize the only empanadas I've had is the apple from Taco Bell. I must seek more!
