In Tanzania, so figured hey why not go to a Malaysian fast food place? That makes sense, right?
marrybrown is a halal chicken-focused Malaysian fast food chain with locations in 20 countries. 19 in Asia, and 1 here in Africa.
The
menu on the website is mostly composed of chicken dishes, with a few specialty items like nasi lemak, a popular Malaysian dish. That what I was going to go for, but the location in Tanzania doesn't have it on their menu wtfbbq.
My options were:
and while I was tempted to go with the Lucky Plate, in the end, who doesn't want to be touched by a ho? Hotouch Burger it was.
Also almost went changu:
just to see the teeth on that thing irl.
Was pleasantly surprised to find that the fries were thoroughly cooked, a rarity in Africa:
but the chicken in the sandwich:
was yet again undercooked dark meat. I'm fine with dark instead of white, but when it's undercooked and squishy, that's not a good thing. That ho gon give me a disease.
That's what I get for not going changu.
