I needed a quick lunch while I was stuck in a little strip mall today so opted for a $5 dollar Little Caesar's thing, 4 pan pieces and a 20 oz coke. Was already in a box waiting for me, very convenient! Wasn't bad for chain pizza I'd say. I think that's the first time I've had their thick crust kind, and the first time since the 1990s that I've eaten there at all. My other options today were an Earl of Sandwich place that looked sneaky expensive and a Starbucks, no regrets as they say.

Tried the new QPC. I'd say it's a slight improvement.

MCD app has bogo extra value meals in honor of brown bag Friday.

Also got a $5.99 large 2 topping special from Dominos. They didn't give me the extra sauce i requested. Overall experience below papa johns, although the flavored crust was tasty. I'd say the crust was better than the rest of the pie.

Oh no, you missed it when they were giving that away for free when the 16 seed beat the 1 in March Madness?

C'mon man. That's some horrible phrasing.

I went to Outback today for their 4 course Aussie deal (starting at $15.99).

You get soup, salad, entree (with one side, ex: baked potato) and dessert. 6oz sirloin steak deal is $15.99 but I got the 9oz sirloin steak deal for $18.99.

It was actually cooked perfectly (medium) and the salad was really fresh. However it was a dollar more to get french onion soup (with provolone which I thought was a nice touch), but that was pretty good too.

The dessert is cheesecake with either chocolate or raspberry topping. I chose raspberry and got it to go.

I also previously signed up for Outback Rewards and gave my phone number so the order got tracked. On your 4th visit you can get up to $20 off.

Dine at Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill or Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Enjoy your favorite meal and spend at least $20 ($40 at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar) on food or non-alcoholic beverages to earn a qualified visit.

Their tortilla and baked potato soups are also really good.

A slight improvement to the dining rewards is to buy a $50 dollar gift card and get a $10 bonus card that you can use to knock another $10 bucks off the bill.
I bought $150 and got 3x$10 bonus cards. Note that they don't allow you to use the $20 off reward and a bonus card at the same time. Bonus cards are valid until mid July.

Used to love the hell out of outback in my teens and early 20s. Now I think their steak is mediocre at best but I love their soups and appetizers.

And their standard house salad is one of the best in the mid range casual game.

Agree. And while the steak may not be steak thread quality it’s consistently decent. Outback is a lot lower variance than the competition.

For sure. And quality wise their steaks are way better than what you get at BJs or Chili's and considerably better than stuff like Black Angus

Right?? Well at least it's better than airline food. I mean, what's the deal with that?

Yeah I'm def going back for their 4 course Aussie deal again.

Gonna do chicken tortilla soup per Mark_K's expert recommendation.

I’ve mentioned it before but Outback makes a damn fine burger, I’d easily get that over their sirloin at a similar price. Outback and Cheddar’s are top tier for that style of restaurant imo, most of the others are pretty bad but I would have no problem adding those two into my rotation of mostly local places to eat.
